🛫✨ On National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Manitoba Aviation Council proudly stands in solidarity with Indigenous communities, honoring their rich heritage, culture, and invaluable contributions to our society. Today, we reflect on the importance of reconciliation and our commitment to participating in this ongoing journey.

In the aviation industry, we recognize our responsibility to foster meaningful relationships with Indigenous peoples. This includes creating opportunities for Indigenous employment, supporting Indigenous-owned businesses, and engaging in dialogues for mutual understanding and benefit. We're proud to see increasing representation of Indigenous individuals in various roles within our industry.

As we focus on Call to Action 92 from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, we commit to adopting the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a framework for reconciliation. Let's continue working together to create a more inclusive and equitable aviation sector.

As we move forward, the Manitoba Aviation Council remains committed to supporting Indigenous Peoples, recognizing that our industry—and our province—are stronger when we seek truth and respond with action. Together, we can ensure that the skies over Manitoba are not only a place of innovation and progress but also of unity and respect for all. 🌍✨
