FAP Services
Bid preparation, costing, estimating, staffing plans, SOP development, training, anything to do with cleaning and janitorial services.
I can help you, a contractor, win business. I can help you, a property manager, get the best cleaning for your facility
So, I am finally retired - and busier than ever. Funny how when you are tied to one company nobody outside that company really wants to talk to you. But, once you're not tied anymore, everyone wants you.
FAP Services is running full tilt into the consulting world. With over 45 years of experience I believe I've learned a thing or two. Over the years I've been on most sides of the industry... Government employee, private contractor, estimating specialist, operations manager, janitorial supplies sales, janitorial consulting and recently robotics champion.
My mission now is to help with optimization of cleaning services, maximization of efficiency, and along the way sharing my experiences in ways that just might help.
Please reach out at any time if you think I might be able to bring some assistance to you and your teams. Give a call anytime if you just want to explore the possibilities.
Here we go again. Hope everyone is staying well. I've been laid off for the duration of this Covid 19 drama. It's funny, my wife and I went through SARS both on the front line - her in public health and me in a nursing home. We are both incredulous that so much that was learned then has either been forgotten or simply not acted on in a timely way. Why the governments, all of them, are way, way behind the curve is frustrating. As soon as this thing started spreading, mid January, they should have expected it to go world-wide. They should have increased stock piles of essential items, masks, all PPE, hand wash. When it became clear that ventilators where going to be needed, late January, they should have started buying more and increasing training for front line staff. It seems as usual, the barn door is closed once the horse has already started to gallop away. Even up to today, the screening at entry points to the country are making "strongly worded suggestions" to self isolate. Only today will it become mandatory to self isolate - only nobody can answer how they plan on enforcing this. And someone please stop me before I go on about the USA - my wife's home country.
Long and short of it - we missed the boat again. As with SARS, theirs going to be a "New Normal" after this. The economy will not return to pre-Covid conditions for a long time, if ever. Companies will have to be extremely flexible and innovative to be one of the ones surviving this disaster.
Should anyone need a forward thinking, innovative janitorial consultant and staffing expert, please think of me. I'm looking for anything that will allow me to hit the ground running, investigating options that may never have been considered before.
Everyone, please be safe, distance yourselves, and wash hands more often than you ever have before.
Frank.
