Another day, another trade.

Sorry not sorry, pals! Just like will always giggle when he says Regina, I will always choke snort reading or saying Slump Loss.

Also, prepare yourselves for how often I'm going to call myself a cement mixer in a Ralph Wiggum voice and say "Finisher!" in a Mortal Kombat voice.

I'm also scouting out the cutest cartoon seal ever to get tattooed on my arm in red, wearing a blue collar and holding a trowel. :p

'Fairytale of New York' played at Shane MacGowan's funeral 03/01/2024

hey folks, I think this might be my last year on earth. Yep, definitely.

Nothing dramatic or melodramatic; I was just built for very different gravity. Everything here is too hard, too loud, too harsh, too heavy.

I've been seeking out the softness, and sometimes I've been finding it, but it's been less, fewer, & farther between than what I've needed.

I'll set December 24, 2024 as my medical assistance in dying date in honour of a dear friend who just this last 123123 made the brave bold choice to keep on living for the sake of his needy dependents. I'm leaving him and his with my car and my house and my land and my robust support system.

I'm not opposed to being convinced that this world is worth it. I'll just need to see and feel it to really believe it. In my heart & bones.

Shane is gone and Kirsty is gone and this past Christmas Eve was the best one that I've ever experienced. Thanks for that, Sir Wiley Coyote.

I've lived a good life. I've had a lot of complicated pain-filled years. Don't need to see another one. Consider me the old geezer ready to go at the arrival of Jesus. Maybe this means the second coming is upon us. I've never been able to achieve multiples, personally. :p

Trauma is complicated. I am finally in the process of getting my official diagnoses as disabled and as suffering from both regular and complex PTSD. Shane died in front of my eyes in 1989. I was 7.

My upper-middle-class parents didn't know what to say, so they said nothing. I was left alone in my grief. I thought it was a fully equipped plane because the only planes I knew or saw on tv had lots and lots of people inside of them. I learned today he was alone.

So grateful to Magregor Davidson for being here for me when I need him.

Having walls for the wind and roof for the rain are great. Having food when you're hungry is good. I had a lot more than a lot of people I know and love. Jeffery Wile got sleep for supper more nights than he got a filling meal and knowing that kills me. At least now he occasionally gets Mick Murray's rich man cheeses.

Snowbirds crash: A timeline of incidents involving Canada's aerobatic flying team

Before Sunday's crash, Snowbirds had lost 7 pilots and 1 passenger since 1972

A Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds jet has crashed in Kamloops, B.C., the latest incident involving Canada's famed aerobatic team in less than a year.

Sunday's crash occurred the same day the Snowbirds were scheduled to complete a flyover of the Okanagan as part of Operation Inspiration, a salute to Canadians and front-line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Video from the area appears to show at least one person ejecting from the plane before it disappears behind a stand of trees and an explosion is heard.

The Snowbirds have performed at air shows across Canada and the U.S. for decades and are considered a key tool for raising awareness about — and recruiting for — the air force. Eleven aircraft are used during shows, with nine flying and two kept as spares.

The air force obtained its Tutor jets in 1963 and has used them in air demonstrations since 1971, when a new team was formed and the name Snowbirds was adopted. Before Sunday's crash, seven pilots and one passenger had been killed and several aircraft had been lost over the course of the Snowbirds' history.

Here is a timeline of some of the crashes and other incidents involving the Snowbirds:

Oct. 13, 2019: Capt. Kevin Domon-Grenier safely ejected from his plane just before an aerobatics show in the U.S. His jet crashed into an unpopulated area near Hampton, Ga. No one on the ground was injured.

Oct. 9, 2008: A Snowbird jet carrying pilot Capt. Bryan (Mav) Mitchell and the photographer Sgt. Charles (Chuck) Senecal crashes in a farmer's field near 15 Wing Moose Jaw, an airbase in southwest Saskatchewan. Senecal was photographing three other planes flying in formation at the time of the crash. An Armed Forces report on the fatal crash said there were no mechanical problems and the pilot may have lost awareness of how low he was flying.

May 18, 2007: Capt. Shawn McCaughey of Quebec is killed when his jet crashed while he was practising for an air show at the Malmstrom Air Force Base in northern Montana. A military report later concluded that McCaughey's seatbelt came unfastened as he was steering his plane through a roll, causing him to fall out of his seat and lose control of the plane.

Aug. 24, 2005: Capt. Andrew Mackay ejects from his aircraft over Thunder Bay, Ont., after losing thrust. The jet crashed in a vacant field. Mackay is treated in hospital and released.

December 10, 2004: Two Snowbirds jets crash in mid-air during a practice near Mossbank, Sask. One pilot, Capt. Miles Selby, 31, was killed, and the other, Capt. Chuck Mallett, sustained minor injuries. Selby was too inexperienced and lacked the training to complete the complex manoeuvre he was attempting, according to an Air Force report.

June 21, 2001: Two jets flying in a nine-jet formation collide over Lake Erie, sending one of the jets into the water. The pilot, Maj. Robert Painchaud, ejected from his aircraft and landed in Lake Erie without injury.

Sept. 4, 2000: On Labour Day weekend, two of the Snowbirds' Tutor jets sustain minor damage when the wing of one craft grazes the tail of another as they are on the way to the Canadian International Air Show in Toronto. The pilots were not injured and both planes landed safely.

Dec. 10, 1998: Capt. Michael VandenBos, 29, dies following a mid-air collision with another Snowbird aircraft during a training flight near Moose Jaw, Sask.

1997: Two Snowbirds touch wingtips in mid-air in Glen Falls, N.Y. There are no injuries.

1994: Two pilots eject from their aircraft near Moose Jaw, sustaining minor injuries.

1992: Two pilots eject safely from their jets near Bagotville, Que.

1992: A crash near Moose Jaw is blamed on a failed engine bearing. There are no injuries.

1991: A Snowbirds jet crashes during a routine training flight near Moose Jaw. The two pilots are not seriously injured.

1989: Capt. Shane Antaya, 26, is killed during an air show at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, when his plane crashed into Lake Ontario.

1978: Capt. Gordon de Jong, 32, is killed during an air show in Grande Prairie, Alta.

1972: Capt. Lloyd Waterer, 24, is killed during an air show in Trenton, Ont.

Alright friends. If you're looking for something charitable and powerful to do this holiday season, I can be your not-at-all-lost cause!

My parents have cut me off financially for cutting them off emotionally and my ex-wife got my autism support dog and her nine adorable puppies taken from me by telling the SPCA I am unhinged, unwell, and have "mental issues" 🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm still allowed to adopt whoever I want from that litter and adopt back the Mumma dog as well, but between paying for a new phone after Iecha Jewers had my old number that I loved and held for 8+ years disconnected by repeatedly not paying the bill (DM me for my new number; I'm being quite selective about who I share it with), and me now paying the bills they have refused to contribute to (NS Power, Citywide internet, vet bills for pig pig, movers for their s**t), I don't have the $400 unallocated for Daisy or the $1400 for two breathtakingly amazing husky-pittie puppies.

Feel free to e-transfer me at [email protected]. I am set up for direct deposit.

Leave a memo if you want me to use your money for anything specific.

My divorce lawyers are thankfully letting me promissory them and they'll take from the alimony and back rent when those start rolling in. 😸🤑

I have enough food, heat, warmth, etc for this month, but would really love to have my fur babies back under this roof where they belong.

13/12/2023

Anyone available to snuggle me tonight in the Wolfville, New Minas, Kentville, Greenwich, Avonport, Gaspereau, Brooklyn Mountain areas?

The ex-wife and her cronies called the cops on me three times in one night and my usual suspects are either out of province, sleeping because they work dayshifts, dissociating like it's their job or something, or only want to bone and not provide comfort. So yeah. Looking for snugs and a little love.

Learn from our mistake and get yourself some actual pipe wrap instead of the not quite as thermal styrofoam that happened to come with my backyard trampoline. 🤡😅

Also be sure to wrap all the elbows or this might happen. Thankfully, the pipes were easily accessible, Dave Garland was available the same day we called him, and he was even able to move the pipes off the exterior wall to a warmer, safer, interior one.

You can see the water marks on the wall from the last crack a few short years ago. We’re very glad this won’t be a problem going forward. I added the quasi-pipe wrap after the first freeze & the giant thermometer, but my plans lacked an actual action to do as the dial approached zero and then fell below. In future, we’ll take the hit on our heat and leave the boot room doors open to the rest of the house, and aim a space heater out there temporarily if necessary.
