Reposted from the Town of Outlook, SK!
** this is the epitome of what the community collective is all about!!
Every so often things happen here, there, or really anywhere that require reactions to those "things"... 2 days ago, most, if not all of central saskatchewan was hit with a heavy snowfall and/or blizzard conditions... within the Town of Outlook, we saw a minimum of 12" of accumulated snow fall, with drifts reaching over 5' in some areas of town. Early Sunday morning, our town guys started clearing essential road ways; by noon it was difficult to look in any direction on any street and not see a piece of equipment; town, private, or owned by a local contractor working to clear the roadways, driveways, and walkways everywhere around town... at one point I mentioned a "skidsteer army" over our radios when I could legit see 7 skidsteers working at once... this, and not at all to take away from the neighbors with snow blowers that did everyone's sidewalks and driveways... these guys are the real heroes... but yes... this all is what community is defined as, and you all f***n' rocked it! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart... every one of you that took some time, did some "extra" y'all are what community means, and I hope that you are as proud of yourselves as I an proud of you!!
When you're re-organizing old files and stumble across old Pipeline cartoons!!

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Rod Lemon. Rod passed away on Nov. 9, 2023.
Rod Lemon retired from the Water Security Agency in 2020 as an Environment Project Officer. He started back in the 1980s as an EPO with the Ministry of Environment and was a member of SWWA since its early years. Rod worked with communities across Saskatchewan for many years before focusing on the Kindersley area. Rod was well known by his communities for providing support and advice for operators. Rod is also known for providing the occasional training workshop for operators and has trained many EPOs over the years.
The SWWA would like to extend our condolences to his family and friends. Rod was a great guy and he will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held Nov. 23 at 2pm at the Elmwood Golf Course in Swift Current. A pulled pork lunch and story sharing will follow the service.
