This recently showed up again on our feed although it is from some time ago; Irises - from a Century farm house.
One of our older pieces but an impressive experience through photos of all the steps in the process. Starting with the cartoons on the wall, to the assembly, and finally in its place.πΉπΉπΉ
Summertime in Elora is so dreamy.
There's something magical about summer light that makes the flowers pop!πΈππΌ
Fresh installation in Guelph yesterday!
Creating space in front of the house, the artist sits together with his work. πβοΈ
Here is another angle of the two cupboard panels we recently installed. This photo was taken before soldering so you can see the shiny colour of the copper foil that is individually wrapped around each of the small pieces.
You Should Choose a Glass Cheese Platter for Your Next Party.π₯π
Glass is almost a perfect material for cheese, because it is non-porous, dishwasher safe (and thus, easy to clean), requires no maintenance and can make for a clean presentation piece.
π§Did you know Elora has its very own Cheese Shop?
π Fromagerie Evelyn right down town.
ποΈ A perfect gift idea! Accompany one of our locally made Glass Cheese Boards with some specialty cheeses from the Fromagerie! Plus the silver knife is included! π΄
Have you ever wondered what glass is made out of? The glass most people are familiar with is soda-lime glass, which is a combination of soda (also known as soda ash or washing soda), limestone, and sand! Sand transformed by heat to temperatures between 900 and 1350 degrees Celsius. π₯ That's hot!
Early morning light streaming in from the back window was lighting up the stars π€©.
It was a photo not to be missed. β¨π
These guys work hard at Fergus Welding! We know because we have been working together with them for 40 years!
In this image, they are cutting and grinding off some metal hangers that needed replacing. πͺ
Attention Oakville! We currently have some of our sparkly glass stars and glass plants at the Bulow Garden Centre. If you are looking for healthy beautiful plants, knowledgeable staff, or some new garden decor from a family owned and operated business, this is the place! π±π³πͺ»
This is an entrance way we installed last year in the late winter, early spring. We had a followup appointment for a minor adjustment but the summer light allowed us to catch the colours in full. Plus we really enjoyed seeing the way the light was radiating on the walls through the window. The gold chunks were chosen to match the other bold artwork in this space.
Pinch bowls are not just for the kitchen! Though commonly used in the kitchen, can be quite versatile.
Like using them as a jewelry holder!
Use pinch bowls to store rings, earrings, and other small jewelry items, keeping them organized and easy to find. βοΈππ
Windows abroad!
This is one of two panels installed into an internal wall. The big chunky glass catches the light in amazing ways. β¨
A quick snap from the workbench, two cupboard panels almost ready for installation. πͺ Happy Canada Day π§‘π¨π¦
On rainy days we can still get the best colours shining through the textured glass. π€©
A very unique piece from last year. We occasionally work with colour and this is one of those examples!
The negative space refers to the space that surrounds and defines the main elements. It's the quiet between the notes, the breath between the words.
We are into Upcycling --> Diverting glass from the landfill and turning into wonderful things for your home. Plus, stay tuned because we are teaming up with local businesses to rescue unnecessary waste and improve the circular economy. We create products that have more value than if they are conventionally recycled or thrown away. β»οΈ π
Well if it isn't Friday again!
Happy Weekend Elora π
Ever wanted a Hanscomb Glass Portal but don't have the space? We have small portals that are the perfect solution! Compact and stunning.
Minidog made by Catherine Labonte from in Quebec. The Minidog, known for its unique smile! πΆβ¨ This little guy loves hanging out with his friends (even Minicats sometimes). Perfect for creating your own mini glass menagerie! π
This is one of our past panels and the result of experimentation in the studio. β¨ By softening the sharp edges of thick, chunky glass, we managed to create these beautifully smooth, stone-like pieces. Couldnβt be happier with the outcome!
Here is to candlelight weekend nights with friends! π₯
This Arctic Ice Candle holder is giving off a nice glow. β¨
