Wishing my fellow Canucks a safe and happy long weekend.
The perfect rainy day experience! These lovely ladies are touring Nova Scotia and PEI and had a fun day with me, Uprooted Market & Cafe, the antique shop on my road, Martinique Beach Provincial Park, and of course a visit to the wharf to say "hi" to the fisherman who donated his coral and green rope to the cause ❤️🪢🦞⚓️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a great time! It was a scenic drive from Halifax where we were staying. Wendy is lovely and interesting to talk to. The wreaths are fun to make and beautiful when finished. I wish I had access to some reclaimed lobster rope where I live so I could make one for my whole family! We took a stroll on the beach after the workshop and brought home some extra embellishments. It made for a great day outside enjoying the Nova Scotia sea side! Thank you Wendy!
Workshops take place some Sunday’s at The Whistle Stop or Monday’s at Harbour Retreat. To request a date/time please send me a DM.
Looking forward to weaving with you on Sunday June 4th! DM if you would like to reserve a spot.
This lovely couple from popped in for an afternoon of wreath weaving and visiting by the fire pit. Super cute, right? I meant the couple but the wreaths are darn cute too 😉
Get Your Jig On!
The Twisted Jig only weaves with reclaimed lobster rope. This unloved unwanted rope finds its way to me and I give it a new and beautiful life.
When you purchase items made from reclaimed lobster rope, you are doing 5 important things:
1. ensuring that this rope did not become “ghost gear” which threatens our oceans and marine life
2. supporting an eco-artist who is raising awareness around this important topic
3. shopping local and giving a small business a fighting chance
4. decorating your home with a unique handmade conversation piece with a great backstory
5. bringing more whimsy colour and joy into your world
You can find my Celtic knot wreaths and door mats at this summer and I will also be offering workshops. You can learn how to weave a classic buoy style wreath and other cool creations! Send The Whistle Stop a DM to be added to the waitlist.
Happy Dumping Day! Wishing our Eastern Shore captains and their crew safety and prosperity 🦞🪢🛟⚓️

Led a Spring themed workshop yesterday at . It was all about renewal, growth and transformation.

A big thank you to for providing the snapdragons and money tree seedlings. They were a hit!
