B.C. to pay $10M to train new veterinarians as those in the profession burn out | CBC News British Columbia is doubling the number of seats it will subsidize for first-year veterinary college to address a shortage of animal doctors in the province. The funding comes after those in the profession have warned about high rates of burnout and suicidal thoughts.

We are so stoked right now because we just had a lady reach out through Instagram to share that she helped rescue Marty and her mama and litter and had pics! Marty’s beautiful momma is shown on the left, and her brother, Toba, is in a loving home in Bella Coola! Our hearts are full 💗

Unfortunately, while out walking today, Marisa twisted her knee and is on crutches for the next little bit.

Her recovery time in unknown at the moment but we hope to have updates for you all about when she’ll be back out walking as soon as she knows more. For now, walks are cancelled.

Arctic outflow round 2 can’t stop us! A chilly few walks to restart after the holidays but these pups aren’t complaining 🥶😘

We’ve been MIA the last week getting over a little winter bug; needless to say our pack was pretty stoked to rip in the snow today! 🤗☃️

FYI friends! Heads up if you’re adventuring in the Spring Creek area 👇🏼

Hey friends! Just passing on information about an incident involving two dogs that were caught in traps in the Spring Creek area on Friday.

There is a licensed trapline from the gate to the junction of the FSR (past LaLa Valley). The traps are active until mid-February.

If you are walking/running on the road, it is best to keep your dog on a leash. This is good practice in the winter if you use any FSRs to recreate. Many logging roads have licensed traplines running adjacent to them, and trappers are not required to post signage.

**The dogs were released from the traps by their owners and are uninjured.
