Take some time this Saturday, November 24, to get into the holiday spirit and visit me (and so many others) at the Doncaster Elementary School Christmas Fair from 10:00-3:00. It's one of the biggest - and best - Christmas fairs out there, so come join the fun.

Dessert of the Month Club delectable for April 2018 - Spring garden cake with chocolate ganache, a Blue Curacao pond, and chocolate pebbles. Everything but the rain!

Last month's Dessert of the Month Club offering... Poached Pear Almond Tarte. Made with organic pears poached in a rum simple syrup infused with cinnamon, cloves, and star anise.

The first Dessert of the Month Club delectable - New York style Cheesecake with blackberry-grape topping. The blackberries were picked in Uplands Park and the concord grapes are from my garden. And the raspberry (from Phil's Farm on the peninsula) is just there because it's pretty!

It's been a while since my last bake-in. I got busy, and then there was Spring Break and many of you left town for fun adventures elsewhere, but it's back to the grind - I mean, the comfort of routine - so time to get back into it again.

Next Bake-in is Thursday, April 6, and I'm baking a new bread this time - a deliciously cheesy cheese bread. It has a splash of beer in it for added flavour - yum, beer and cheese! I wanted to attach a pic but the fam ate the model loaf before I had a chance, so will post a pic later on my FB page.

This loaf is $7.50 (there's a lot of cheese in there), and takes a little longer to prepare so can we say pick-up any time after 2 p.m.?

I will be selling delectables at the Central Middle School (1280 Fort Street) Christmas Craft Fair tomorrow (Dec. 3) from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Stop by for candy cane shortbread, lemon curd, ginger syrup, (both are unique and tasty stocking stuffers!) and cocktail crackers - and for free samples, of course! My friend Shannon will also be there selling her fabulous homemade soaps - also great for stuffing stockings!

After a lengthy - and lovely - European holiday, I'm back and back baking! Next Bake-in is September 12 (rustic loaf). Let me know if you'd like to place an order! On Feb 1, 2016, I had my first Delectable Deliverables "Bake-in". I spent all day day baking loaves of rustic whole wheat bread and customers picked up their pre-ordered fresh, warm loaves at their convenience. I made 18 loaves of bread that day!
