🎉🎉We've got some exciting news! After a long fall and winter season of waiting, we can officially announce that TyNew Contracting is moving west! After all, the west coast is the best coast, right?!😉

We've had a great few years in Gander and have enjoyed meeting all the folks we've been able to work with since being here. We will have to take some time to get settled and set up over there but keep an eye out, you'll see us in the Corner Brook area soon enough!

We are currently mid project at this residence! This photo was taken about a week and a half ago when we took it back to the studs in some areas. With these older homes, sometimes you never know what you'll find😳. I'm happy to say the surprises we did find weren't severe and with a few changes to our design and layout, we've come up with an amazing plan that works for the homeowners! I think they might like the new plan even better!😁

At this very moment, we have plastering and painting happening and we hope to be putting this home back together within the next week or so.

We've been working with this family for a few months now to nail down what they want to see in their newly renovated home! Stay tuned for the new kitchen and the final design and color choices. She's gonna be a beaut😍!

TyNew Contracting is actively seeking skilled laborers. We do an assortment of residential remodels and renovations but specialize in kitchen renovations. We work closely with clients to give them what they want, all while staying within their budget. We are looking for someone to join our team and enhance our clients experience with us.

Duties include:
- Using power tools (experience necessary)
- Working at heights
- Lifting 50 lbs
- Preparing the work site for renovations including demo
- Cleaning up debris and materials at the end of projects
- Installing drywall, flooring, doors, windows, siding, cabinetry, trims, etc. (must be comfortable with finish carpentry work)
- Tiling back-splashes or floors
- Working in all weather conditions when necessary
- Working with minimal supervision

Experience Necessary:
- Attention to detail is key. We expect a very high-quality finish on all our projects.
- Organizational skills. Keeping areas and tools neat and organized throughout the project
- Customer service skills. Possibility of dealing with clients on a day to day basis
- Clean certificate of conduct required
- Drivers Abstract necessary if driving company vehicles.

Expectations:
- Wages between $15-$25/Hour depending on suitability and experience
- Flexible schedule and overtime when necessary
- Possibility of seasonal employment or project-based work
- Must have own transportation to and from worksites
- Travel outside Gander may be required at times and, if so, all expenses paid
- Be prepared that some work may be physically demanding

We recently became an authorized dealer for Ready-To-Assemble (RTA) semi-customizable kitchen cabinetry.

We are offering the cabinets to you to assemble and install yourselves, as well as, installation services to anyone looking for a professionally installed and finished kitchen.

Over the holidays we visited our hometown on the Northern Peninsula and while there we installed a custom kitchen in a cottage that is being renovated.

We had a special foreman watching over us named Kitan🐈... he wasn't too hard to please😉. But when we weren't inspecting and perfecting our own work, we were taking in the views of the bay!

And check out that island color choice!!! It's a fiery one for sure!❤

Take note the toe kicks will be installed after the flooring is laid and the backsplash has yet to be picked out along with the floating shelf stain colors and bamboo butcher block finish. It's a work in progress but it's beautiful so far! 😍

2021 has been one for the books, not only with the pandemic that's been looming over us but because we finally bit the bullet and opened TyNew officially in the spring. Up until then we had been operating as a solo worker for friends and friends of friends. Once opened and with minimal advertising, we got off on the right foot and you guys have been keeping us busy here in our local area. Thank you for every call, text, message and referral. Was called in for a leaky patio door! The bottom track was filling with water⛈, leaking through the bottom and in turn running down the inside walls. Repaired some water damage, sealed and installed a new door! Won't be any more water issues after today!👌
