The Yukon Fire Marshal’s Office has concluded the investigation into the Takhini Bridge (XY-019) wildfire. The wildfire was ignited by two individuals using an exploding target for target practice. No charges have been laid by the RCMP and the names of the individuals involved will not be released publicly.

The Yukon Party would like to welcome everyone who is attending the 51st annual Yukon Geoscience Forum and Trade Show in Whitehorse.

Each November, the mining and mineral exploration industry, First Nations, government and our communities gather to recap the 2023 season, hear from industry players, and make important connections to drive future business.

A big thank you goes to the Yukon Chamber of Mines for organizing and hosting the many events associated with Geoscience.

The door has been opened to changes to the federal carbon tax policy, and hopefully an approach that reflects the needs of the Yukon and the Canadian North.

Canada’s Indigenous soldiers fought on the front lines and made the same contributions and sacrifices as their fellow soldiers.

On this National Aboriginal Veterans Day, we are thankful for Indigenous veterans and their efforts to protect and serve Canada.
