Music for Mental Health was formed in memory of my 16 year old daughter Kalysta Miller who died by su***de on February 17, 2017.
It is to bring an end to the stigma of Mental Health and Su***de and to raise money for mental health.

We had a great night and raised $985.00 for The Wellness House!!

I just had an interview with someone from the Stettler Independent about Music for Mental Health! I feel it went well. The story will be in next week's Independent!!

Music for Mental Health 2023
3 youth have died by su***de in the past 6 years....a 16 year old, a 17 year old and a 20 year old. That is way to many!!
Music for Mental Health is put on to help raise awareness and money to help youth in our community be able to access more counseling without having to worry about the cost.
We have speakers, music, resource tables and door prizes.
All money raised this year will be going to The Wellness House in Stettler.
Help us spread awareness, maybe learn something you don't know and have an entertaining evening all while helping our youth!!

Your suicidal friend told you they were struggling and you asked them why.
You told them they should feel blessed regardless because they came a long way.
They struggled with parenting and you reminded them that they were lucky to even have kids.
They felt alone and you reminded them that ”at least they had a man.”
Your suicidal friend told you they were drowning and you reminded them you were too.
They cried of financial issues and you said at least they had more than you.
They said they felt lost and you said you were off track too.
They needed a break and you reminded them they just came back from vacation and had been more places than you.
So when your struggling friend becomes a cherished memory don’t ask why they didn’t come to you.
They did.
