A world of difference: Shining a light on Indigenous women in science The MentorSTEP program at the University of Saskatchewan (USask), co-led by the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC) and funded by the International Minerals Innovation Institute (iMii), supports Indigenous women who are interested in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Some great ideas. Also: Add an email app (Outlook is the university's standard) to your phone and hook your University email to that app. Set the notifications high, so you respond. You can also use the same app for appointments -- put your class schedules, due dates and other items into the appointment calendar. Email is how university and the larger world functions; get good, right off the bat, at email.

We've made the switch to working from home but oh are we missing our MentorSTEP crew! We had such a great tour of the Jansen Mine all lined up with our friends from BHP and now...we wait! What we really want to know is, how are all of you?

For now, any MentoSTEP internships are still going foward, with a start for May 1st or at the discretion of the MentorSTEP internship partner. Further changes or adjustments will be communicated as needed.
