Thank you for all the kind messages, encouragement, and love over the past few weeks.
“How do I feel?” is the most asked question since last night.
Tired, frustrated, at a loss, not sure what is next - these are the feelings that show up as I process before rejuvenating myself again.
There is a deeper part of me that feels humbled to have met some incredible people, I learned lots about politics, and especially how integrated Blind Spots is to human behavior in all levels of organizations; whether it is non-profit, profitable multi-level or government.
I would've loved to have served the community and be the voice for all its people. Before I took on this candidacy, I evaluated every aspect of my beliefs and values to see if this aligned with what I already do: help businesses get clarity and create a place of growth for them and their employees. My values were tested and I was able to stay true to them, my promise to the community is to be a part of it and still be the voice and in fact, work closely with people so they have a louder say in their successful future.
I respect family and friends who held steadfast to their beliefs and voted for a party that aligns with their values. As a democratic country, we have been bestowed with a right to vote for a government based on values, but more importantly, it is also our responsibility to gain a deeper understanding about the platforms of each party, so we have the knowledge to cast our votes based on informed decisions.
These last 36 days we have witnessed many emotions nationwide, and I sincerely hope that Canada gets back on track and we become stronger and more united. Now is the time for all parties to work together and hold each other accountable, as there is a lot of catching up to do and serious work to be done to revive this country economically.

who tirelessly worked day and night, all of us learning as we went along. They had the “just get it done attitude” and it was the only way we all got through this.
My brothers, sister-in-laws, nephew, mom, and my kids all played a huge part over the past few weeks with their encouragement, understanding, holding me accountable, making food, letting me share my feelings, and the hugs. Thank you for always being by my side as I explore and wanting to keep on growing.
Now it’s time to focus on rest, connections, and getting back to business. Possibly another book...hmm?

Yesterday, we made a lot of noise in Burnaby South along with Page Munro and her team. There is lots of support in the area for the Conservative Party of Canada. The energy for change is everywhere. Get out and VOTE Conservative tomorrow to secure the future.

We've all been touched by mental health and our health system needs funding and support from the Federal Government.
Canada’s Conservatives will:
Massively boost health transfers to the provinces by at least 6% annually, representing nearly $60 billion more for health care over the next 10 years.
Work with the provinces to invest in mental health as a priority with the goal of providing enough funding for an additional million Canadians to receive mental health treatment every year.
Encourage employers to add mental health coverage to their employee benefit plans
Provide $150 million over three years in grants to non-profits and charities delivering mental health and wellness programming.
Create a nationwide 3-digit su***de prevention hotline.
Make the single largest investment in Canadian history for mental health supports for Indigenous people by providing $1 billion over 5 years
For Addiction and Recovery we will:
Enhance the delivery of culturally appropriate addiction treatment and prevention services in First Nations
Invest $325 million to create 1,000 residential drug treatment beds and build 50 recovery community centres
Reorient the Canadian Drugs and Substances Strategy towards ensuring every person struggling with addiction has the opportunity to recover.

It focuses on fiscal responsible initiatives that will help businesses keep their doors open and employ workers. In Canada 85% of employees are employed by small and medium sized businesses, NOT big corporations. These businesses are the most vulnerable when we are in recession and Covid restrictions are in place. Erin O'Toole's plan will support these businesses and get people back to work.
The Plan is also socially progressive to protect everyone's right to make their own choices and have the freedoms necessary for democracy. Once you read the plan you will understand how it will secure the future for ALL Canadians regardless of the groups they identify with. It also strives to put Canada back on the map as the Country that stands up for human rights around the world.

Seniors are an important part of our community in Burnaby South and it is our job to care for them and give them the resources they need to live out their retirement years. Canada’s Conservatives have a plan to help seniors stay in their own homes, improve the quality of Long-Term Care, and maintain financial security for seniors by ensuring that their pensions are secure.
If elected as MP for Burnaby South, I will be in the community to discuss the issues and concerns that matter to the people in the area. I will be the voice of change to ensure our seniors are supported and cared for.
The Seniors in Burnaby South deserve our support and a better level of care. As the Conservative Candidate for MP in Burnaby South, I will listen to our seniors, discover what they need, and take their concerns to the leaders in Ottawa.

Last night, I was honoured to represent the Conservative Party of Canada as their candidate for MP in the Burnaby South riding at a town hall hosted at the Ismaili Centre. The things that mattered to the audience were, affordable housing, mental health, and diversity.
I was joined by:
Green Candidate: Maureen Curran
Liberal Candidate: Brea Hung Sami
NDP Candidate: Peter Julian representing Jagmeet Singh
Independent Candidate: Martin Kendell
It went well and the Ismaili community was supportive of all the candidates. Thank you Bruce Claggett for moderating the Town Hall and asking though provoking questions to all the candidates.

Canada's economy relies on micro, small, and medium sized businesses, which is why the initiative in the Canada Recovery Plan are so important to our economy. A Conservative Government will rebuild our Main Streets by:
Getting customers through the doors by using tax and rebate incentives like, no GST to shop in retail stores in December, 50% rebate on dining out, and a 15% tax credit to vacation within Canada.
Initiating the Job Surge Plan to pay 25-50% of net new employee wages.
Providing a 25 per cent tax credit on amounts of up to $100,000 that Canadians personally invest in a small business over the next two years
Launching the Main Street Business Loan to provide loans of up to $200,000.
Creating the Canada Investment Accelerator refundable tax credit for small business will provide a five per cent investment tax credit for any capital investment made in 2022 and 2023.
Reform the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to ensure that its loan programs are accessible to small businesses.
Double the Apprenticeship Job Creation Tax Credit for the next three years to help create more places for apprentices and invest $250 million to create the Canada Job Training Fund.
Create the Working Canadian Training Loan to provide low interest loans of up to $10,000 to people who want to upgrade their skills.
Incentivize Canadian companies to develop their products here by cutting the income tax rate in half for new patented technologies developed here in Canada.
Establish the Canadian Advanced Research Agency to fund major cutting-edge technological advances.
Make it more attractive to invest in small tech start-ups by introducing the use of flow-through shares.

Over the last few weeks I've met so many different individuals in Burnaby South to talk about what matters to them. The area is an incredible diverse community full of supportive people who want a local voice in Ottawa.
