Inviting all families to come out once again at our annual ACFS Family Festival, next week on July 25th. Registration will start at 12 and run all day with a day filled with fun, laughs, visiting and great prizes to be won. Please remember, this is a family event, not a babysitting service. We ask you come out and take part and have fun with your children. There will be many games and awesome prizes capped off with an awesome fireworks show. This year for the caregiver retreat, instead of sending our caregivers to the hustle and bustle of the city, we decided to send our caregivers to Waskesiu for a weekend. We hope our first group of caregivers enjoyed their well deserved time off. Such a beautiful getaway, as we now prepare to send our 2nd group there. A huge thank you to our amazing staff who worked hard, waking up early and battling the mosquitos to prepare all meals. It was all hands on deck to try give our caregivers a well deserved weekend. To all caregivers, who have opened your hearts and homes for our children, we appreciate all you do for our office and for the entire community. God bless.

Good afternoon. Just a reminder to any caregivers wanting to take the First Aide/CPR training for this weekend, please contact our Resource Worker. This will be the only First Aide/CPR training set up as the majority of Foster Parents are already certified until 2026. Thank you and have a great day.

Good morning Ahtahkakoop. For all caregivers, please note that we have First Aide/CPR training booked for February 10th & 11th. For those who's certificates have expired, you will need to be re-trained, as per policy and for the safety of our children in care. Please call our Resource Worker, Marcel Thomas, if you wish to be signed up, as seating is limited. Good morning Ahtahkakoop. ACFS staff were delivering Visa's to each household last night. If by chance you were not home, we will be distributing them today at our office. Please stop in and pick yours up today. Also note that these will be only released to the head of household. We have a housing list and will be going by the names that are on that list. Visa's will not be given if there are any discrepancies. And with that, we hope you have a great day.

Good morning Ahtahkakoop. There is no school today, we will still be handing out student Visa's today at our office starting at 10 am.

Good evening Ahtahkakoop. Please be aware that after distributing the student's visa's tomorrow, our staff will be delivering each household the prepaid Visa. If you are not going to be home, please let us know so we dont have to stop in at your homes. The Visa's will only be given to the head of household as we need your signatures. Deliveries will be after 4 pm tomorrow. This year, due to the increase of prices, we have increased the amount of the visas, just to help out a little more. Please note, if you have dogs, our staff will not be getting out of the vehicles. Sorry for the lateness of this notice. Good night.

The Stay In School Incentive gift cards will be given out tomorrow Dec 7th, 2023 at the ACFS building from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The gift cards are for Kindergarten to Grade 12. Your child must be attending school regularly, living on reserve and going to school at the Ahtahkakoop School, ACA or at one of the surrounding town schools to receive a card.

Grade 6 and up can pick up their own gift cards, K - Grade 5 must have their parents or guardians pick it up for them.

If their attendance is in question ACFS will go by the lists given from the school for attendance.

Good afternoon. Thank you to the parents who brought their children to the preschool Christmas party today. We hope your little ones enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed today. Also a huge thank you to Chief Ahtahkakohp School for the great hospitality and for allowing us to utilize their gym.

Good morning. We are all set up and ready for the Preschool Children's Christmas Party. Parents, bring your Preschool babies to Ahtahkakoop School gym for a present, pictures with Santa, wagon rides, face painting and an awesome lunch.

Good evening Ahtahkakoop. Due to the loss in the community, our Preschool Children's Christmas Party has been rescheduled to Wednesday December 6th. We express our sincere condolences to the family on their loss and to everyone dealing with loss. Please pray for those who are mourning and be kind to your fellow members. It's always difficult this time of year.

THE PARTY WILL BE HELD AT THE SCHOOL GYM

Please note, regarding the Christmas Wreath Making event is scheduled for December 11th. This will start at 5pm and will be taking place at the band hall. Please note that whoever is taking part in this to show up promptly at 5 so crafts can be distributed evenly. Please note, that this is an event for adults, 16 years and older. We encourage children should be left at home so participants can focus on their wreath making and visiting other adults. Also, we will be providing supper to those who attend. Good morning Ahtahkakoop. Here is the poster for the ACFS Preschool Children's Christmas Party. This event will be held at the band hall on Tuesday, December 5th starting at 10am. This event is for all preschool aged children residing on the community. There will be gifts for children, horse/wagon rides, face painting, pictures with Santa and awesome door prizes. So all parents with preschool aged children, please join us for this annual event being put on for the children of our community. We hope to see all children there.

Good evening. Here are some tentative dates ACFS has thus far;

December 5 - Preschool Children's Christmas Party at the hall. On reserve preschool aged will receive their gifts.

December 7 - Students residing On reserve will receive prepaid Visa's who are currently registered and attending school on a regular basis. We will update the location these will be handed out.

December 13 - ACFS Caregivers Supper in Prince Albert. Caregivers will be notified.

December 20 - Last day office will be open.

Please note, our office will be delivering prepaid Visa's to each household once again to assist with the rising cost of living. Please note that every little bit helps. Delivery dates to each household will be posted once we know when they are ready.

For all ACFS caregivers. We are requiring all adults in the home to submit updated CPICs. If you have to pay for it, keep your receipts as our office will reimburse you. Good morning Ahtahkakoop. Just an update on the ACFS Family Festival. We understand that weather can be unpredictable and unfortunately, the weather forecast for Thursday calls for rain. But the ACFS Family Festival will STILL go on, rain or shine. If it does rain on Thursday, all games and events will be moved to the arena and the hall. Some events unfortunately may have to be canceled. Please note, that children need parental / adult supervision, as this event is intended for families. Also, any persons deemed under the influence of drugs or alcohol, will be asked to leave as this is a family function. We hope to see everyone come out and having fun.
