Intentionally Tiny Custom Homes Ltd.
We have the passion for building and intentional living. Let's create something beautiful together!
Here's the scoop: I took on a teaching job.
-
In response to Labour Market Information, the Atlantic Home Building and Renovation Sector Council has developed a forward-thinking pilot program to help address the skills gap in the industry while meeting housing needs.
-
The Tiny Home (Modular) Construction Fundamentals program is designed to equip participants with essential competencies for constructing energy-efficient modular tiny homes. This 10-week program blends hands-on training with theoretical knowledge, addressing the growing demand for sustainable, smaller living spaces that meet both federal and provincial building standards.
-
Targeted at underemployed and underrepresented groups, the program provides not only foundational carpentry skills but also essential real-life employability skills. By doing so, it offers a proactive solution to both the labor market shortage and housing challenges.
-
As a company, Intentionally Tiny is deeply committed to being of service and this program was an opportunity we could not pass up. It aligns perfectly with our core beliefs and mission to promote sustainable living while empowering individuals through skills development.

Photo 1: Believe it or not, we've known each other almost 20 years as friends. This is one of the parties we attended back in the day.
-
Photo 2: 8 years ago, we reconnected on the East Coast. You can say this is where our love story began.

Welcome the newest addition to the yard.

Did you know we moved across the country with a dream in mind after our hearts were set on Nova Scotia being our long game? We arrived in 2020 and set out to pick the perfect piece of land to build our HQ/home office and to start our business Intentionally Tiny Custom Homes. We spent the better part of 2022 and 2023 designing and building our home from the ground up after finding our perfect spot. We even did all the form work and bent and placed every piece of rebar in our slab. We are happy to share a few shots of some special touches within our home. We would love to tour you around our space and show you all the clever ways every corner of the home was utilized, just let us know and we will make the time.

You’d think that all the dirty work is over and it’s pretty well smooth sailing from this point on. Well, maybe. I’d save the champagne for later.

Living in the Northern Hemisphere means we get to enjoy the cold winter months. Keep the warmth and the comfort in your home by ensuring you have adequate insulation!
On our blog https://buff.ly/3Uw2DLr , we talk about what R-value means and more!
When all the interior partitions are in, it's time to call on the plumber and the electricians!
