It may look like this was a photo from last summer, but we took a little winter trip last night and lucked-out with sun yesterday and light snowfall this morning. It was cold, but cozy inside ! Winter won’t stop us from having outdoor adventures. ❄️⛺️👍

One year ago today was the last show we did with , and this year has gone virtual! While I’m going to miss wandering the shore floor and discovering curious and innovative products, my feet certainly won’t be as sore. 🦶🏻 There are some awesome sessions on the Pioneer DJ lineup today and tomorrow. From introductions of new gear and walkthroughs from demonstrators like and , interviews with product planner , a rekordbox masterclass with yours truly, performances from some top DJs including and on the new , and on the , and and on the ... all hosted by my good friend, the unmistakable Jon Wick stunt double, -- complete with special NAMM Show Happy Hour live after-shows! The show is open to the public for the first time ever, so heard over to namm.org to register and we'll see you online! Oh, and shouts to some of my favourite people I won't get to see - .fam and many MANY more.

I decided to hack wifi into my CDJs using good ol' ingenuity and a healthy amount of duct tape. 😂

At the gig or just trying to block out the noise from the kids while working at home, these D2 IEMs are the bomb. Phenomenal sound and because they're custom molded, comfort for days! So much bass. 🤟🏻 They're not cheap, but they're worth it to protect my hearing and deliver quality sound. 🔊🎵👂🏻

I haven't posted much recently because I've been too busy living life instead of sharing it on social. Last week I had the opportunity to hang out with my family for my 17th consecutive year at the in Anaheim. I got to see some of my favourite people in the DJ world, including some I've known for nearly 20 years. It's amazing to have so many friends in the industry, regardless of their background, age, musical taste, the company they work for, or the title they hold. Even if I only get to see them in person for 20 minutes every year, it feels like I just saw them. I also appreciated meeting new friends and helping many others learn about the awesome toys I get to work with every day. @ Anaheim Convention Center

Do what the wall says! I snapped this at PHL a couple of weeks ago and I've been thinking about it ever since -- it's important to have great ambitions; aspirations that are beyond what you would consider achievable, goals outside your comfort zone. If you always stay in the safe bubble of what you know you can do, you'll never really grow. So dream big, and grab the impossi-bull by the horns. (See what I did there? lol 🐂)

Proud to be back providing the tunes at the Nip Tuck lawn bowling fundraiser again this year! Lots of fun, some great pirate costumes (incl. some wearing Pirate Pack ships as hats! 😂), and great food from and .

It's way-too-early o'clock, and I've been up and on the go since just-past-late. It was great to see my family, but now it's time to get home to my real family (yes, even the kids). This has been a long week of weird hours and I can't wait to reset my clock with a nice long sleep in my own bed! 😴💤

Jay and I are very much about upholding traditions at trade shows, and when we arrive in Atlantic City for DJ Expo, our first stop is at Tun Tavern for one of their fine home brews. Cheers! #🍻

Learn to embrace technology, and when it inevitably performs a belly-flop, the solution is to throw more technology at it!

While we were away, I was shooting some video when my camera froze. It has happened once before, so I waited and eventually shut-down the camera. When I tried pulling up the pictures and videos from the card, they were all missing. Fortunately I have some experience in data recovery and used a coupe of different tools to find the files... except none of my videos would play. 15 minutes of Googling later and I found an old forum thread with information and a script (luckily still online) that would rebuild my videos. It's a good thing I was willing to try and not just throw my money at a website promising recovery - I managed to save 25GB of videos and probably a hefty chunk of change just by exploring.

It may be Canada's birthday today(Happy Canada Day, eh? 🇨🇦), but there's another anniversary which is almost as important on a global scale - the 40th anniversary of the Sony Walkman! Whether you had a classic Walkman or that coveted yellow Sport model, there's no denying the importance of this iconic piece of music history in establishing how we carry music around in our pockets today.

I miss my classic cassette Walkman, and my Discman that chewed through batteries, but my favorite one of all was my MiniDisc Walkman. Which one(s) did you have?

Check out the link in my bio to Sony's official anniversary page.

I can't wait for a time when LGBTQ doesn't need to have a specific month and we can celebrate pride all the time, because there's too many people who aren't treated like the awesome diverse humans they are.

Until then, , and let your freak flag fly!
