Chateau Youth Bowling Program Christmas Party was a huge success! So much food and desserts, fun bowling and prizes for everyone! Congratulations to 13 year old Chase McVicar rolled a 300 Game in the Mantioba Bowling Association Youth Open Tournament.
Chase shot 1065 for 5 games.
Chase lives in Winnipeg and is a future star in Canada. We know this will be his first of many!

What a week!!! Silver in doubles with the amazing Francois Lavoie on day one, setting a Canadian record for a 8 game block in singles on day two, remaining in 1st on day three for the 16 game qualifier for day 4 to cap it off with a second silver in singles. What a ride. Congrats to AJ Johnson from the US for winning the gold. Now it is time for closing ceremonies and to celebrate.

Today our youth were surprised by a visit from 3 amazing Team Canada Members who just returned from a successful IBF World Championships in Kuwait. Marissa, Austyn and Mitch came in Canada Gear and their prestigious medals for photo shoots with the youth and then led them into their warmups. And sprinted some time giving advice and words of encouragement during league play. Thank you guys so much for coming out, it’s great for our youth to see how hard work and dedication can take you to international competition and the podium. Each of them grew up in Winnipeg, bowled in youth leagues, chased their dreams until it was real. All of us are extremely proud of your accomplishments! Go get more!

Chase and Alexis travelled to compete in the Wyoming Junior Bowlers Tour in Rapid City, SD. Alexis came very close and Chase made the stepladder. He focused one game at a time going up to the final match …. And WON! Chase received a $789.00 Scholarship, a Canadian pro, Francois Lavoie signed jersey and qualified for Junior Gold!

SPREAD THE WORD! YBC bowlers are en-route to the Detroit area to compete alongside representatives from all US States in the 26th annual TEEN MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Cheer them on as competition kicks off July 23rd and wraps up on the 28th. Thunderbowl is once again the host and this is YBC's second year officially participating in this great event which offers US$50,000 in scholarships!
