sometimes it’s the simple joys that are the best parts of each and every day.
Beyond thankful for all of YOU! 2021 was the first full calendar year running my own business, and it was wilder than I could have ever imagined, in the best way. To say I’m excited for this year is an understatement.
Here’s to another year of cookie cheers!🥂

Dancer wasn’t impressed to hear that she’s too young to be pulling Santa’s sleigh this year 😆
Last week, before going to the gym, Cody asked me what I was going to train. My response was “legs, but likely I’ll just take it easy today”. Now before you get up in arms, I’ll be the first to tell you that our bodies shouldn’t be put through the ringer every workout, but I was fully rested.
Ever tell yourself any of the following when things get hard?
I’ll take it easy today.
I can’t do this.
My legs are going to give out.
I’ll just stop now.
I can’t do the last two reps.
I won’t be able to stand back up.
I was telling myself all of these going into squats that day.
And I came out of the session with my heaviest back squat of the year (actually of the last 2 years if I’m being honest).
In the middle of one of my heavier sets of squats, I just had a lightbulb moment. Instead of telling myself that my legs were going to give out, or that I couldn’t do another rep, or that it was too hard — I told myself that I COULD.
I can do this.
I can do 5 heavy reps instead of 3.
I can do another one.
I won’t get stuck at the bottom.
My legs are strong.
I’m strong.
You may say that sounds cheesy, but the way we talk to ourselves is POWERFUL.
Don’t put limits on yourself.
Tell yourself you can do that extra rep.
Tell yourself you can.
Tell yourself that you are strong.
Tell yourself just one more, you’re almost there.
Your body listens to and can feel what you say to yourself. Our minds our POWERFUL. Use your mind for good next time you are in the gym and see for yourself.
We’re probably laughing at something Dancer said 😆
Which sounds better?
Less time sitting.
Less junk food.
Less alcohol.
Less chaos.
Less scrolling.
Less time inside.
OR
More movement.
More whole ingredients.
More water.
More routine.
More reading.
More learning.
More fresh air.
When was the last time you thought of ADDING to your life instead of telling yourself you need to drastically cut things out in order to see changes?
Just some food for thought.
Hands up if you or someone you know has been in a car accident recently, and has an active claim.
If that’s you, listen up. Or keep reading. That would make more sense.
Did you know that in addition to getting coverage for chiropractic, physiotherapy and massage therapy services, you also have access to free active rehab provided by Certified Athletic Therapists and Kinesiologists?
You might be wondering what exactly you would be getting help with. That’s a fair question. After an initial assessment, we would work on strengthening any muscular imbalances found as a result of your injuries. Pain reduction often goes hand in hand with this. If you have not tried working with an Athletic Therapist and think that you might be eligible, I would love to connect with you.
Feel free to share this with anyone you know who might need this!
I always feel on top of the world when I’m on top of a mountain 🏔
