GTFO Get The Fun Outside
Get The F$&* Outside is our challenge to you as well as our way of sharing our legacy, adventuring a
We went on an adventure!
Mt. Cook... The overwhelmingly blue water adds to the stunning view, for sure, and the photo does neither justice.
I would've loved getting a drone shot of the glacier but I guess it's best not to chance crashing a helicopter full of people...
The Franz Josef Glacier. A breathtaking link to the earth's past, and a tiny glimpse at a future we won't be around to see.
... I don't think I need to say anything about this...
The photo doesn't do it justice. This is a protected Kauri tree called Tane Mahuta: Lord of the Forest.
For those who want to see content that isn't covered in snow...just a little fun out at the farm.
G**O - Overhand Axe Throw Introducing a few people to axe throwing out on the farm. Always a fun time!
It's that time of year again! We went out to forage for fiddleheads last year and if you want some tips for picking your own check out or video
G**O - Fiddlehead Identification & Picking For those of you looking to dig around for some wild edibles in the spring, fiddleheads are a fun and time-consuming labour of love from scouting, to identif...
We're not too stuck up about the beautiful weather for winter camping this weekend

A very unseasonably unfrozen but still beautiful Lake Ontario
We went out snowshoeing recently with a couple of silly doggos (not pictured because they were far too full of beans) to go scope out a trail for some upcoming winter camping. The video will be up very soon on our channel.
I finally got out on the cross country skis for the first time in a very long time and I gotta say it feels pretty great.
It's always a good day for a hot chocolate. Check out Gerry's review of his new Lixada titanium camp pot set. https://youtu.be/pJkQPl6kG7Y
Have you ever seen a tree with fruit growing out of the bark?! This is called a Calabash Tree and I saw this for the first time on a recent trip to Cuba.
We went for a beautiful winter walk with the birds in our newest video up now on the channel.

Take a moment to stop and look around today. Our new video going out for a snowshoe hike is up now on our channel.

Beautifully cold sunset

There's nothing better than a hot cup of coffee and a good breakfast after a cold night of winter camping. Check out our new video where we set up our Huron camping stove. Also shoutout to for the delicious breakfast
The Esker Huron Camping stove did quite a good job of keeping the tent warm in the slightly nippy -35 degree winter weather
G**O - Esker Huron Winter Camp Stove Setup We had a lot of fun piecing together the Esker Huron wood stove and put it to the test in nearly -40 (celsius). Nothing like a powerful Canadian winter to pu...
The Four Seasons
Gerry, Marla, and my dad went for a little fishing trip out at Twins.
The drive out to the lake was full of silliness like this little gem, showing off where I got my sarcastic humour from.

Another beautiful Bluesday Tuesday with one of my favourite birds...the Great Blue Heron!

A little throwback to one of our trips to Allan Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park .
We have had great times out on the island sites, more than once. Easy access to beautiful scenery and wonderful comfort. Good luck landing one of the islands though!

is a great park to visit. Plenty of space to paddle and some great trails as well (I recommend the Fire Tower Trail)!
It's a bit more crowded compared to the interior Algonquin Park camping and the Crown Land camping we're used to, but it's a great place to spend a weekend with friends and family.

Reaching the end of the Cranberry Trail in Callander is always enjoyable. It's not a long trail but the view of the bay and Lake Nipissing never disappoints.

Just a few of my favourite spots along the Wilson's Falls Trail in Bracebridge.

Here's a fun and very brief jaunt along the Muskoka River. Beautiful any season of the year (just be careful of the ice in the Winter and the intensity of the falls in the Spring.

A beautiful Merganser couple taking flight along the shore of a small and quiet Ontario lake. "Birds of a feather", and all that.

Hey, if you aren't having any luck catching trout, it's a lot easier to catch a Trout Lily...maybe not this time of year, but that's not the point.
