People always come up to me and ask “what’s your fave cookie” and I usually just look at them and reply “why are you talking to me?” But if I was going to answer this it would be the M.O.M. Chocolate Chip Cookies. But that’s the obvious choice right? Ok so if I have to answer another it would be the “Old School Jams” which are a very, VERY close second.

Cookies are getting ready to fulfill their Christmas destiny. The ones getting shipped get a heat shrink bag to keep them safe and fresh on their journey through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then through the Lincoln Tunnel. Ok maybe not the Lincoln Tunnel. Customs crossing the gum drops border is intense.

The family looks forward to me bringing a Pumpkin Pie Beast to Thanksgiving dinner. So obviously I couldn’t let them down. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Today is my mom’s birthday. My mom had Alzheimer’s and passed away in 2019. I started making her chocolate chip cookies as a tribute to her. Today I make them to share with all of you. It’s still the same recipe that she made and and I ate as a kid. So when I say “Cookies like Mom Made. Literally.” I mean literally. I miss her very much and know that she’d be very pleased to see her cookies being enjoyed by so many. Happy Birthday, Mom. You are loved and missed every day.

It has been almost 3 years since I officially started The Bearded Baker. And as I stood here today packaging chocolate chip cookies, I thought about my Mom and how her chocolate chip cookie recipe is what is behind it all. She was a strong, resilient and loving person who I don’t go a day without missing in some way. These cookies are called M.O.M. Chocolate Chip Cookies. The M.O.M. stands for Memories of Mom. So there’s a whole bunch of her love in each and every one of these cookies. They are truly “Cookies like Mom made. Literally.” And I’m so happy to be able to share them with you all 😊🍪❤️.

Another great popup yesterday at ! Special thanks to Steve and Amanda for all their help and for providing me with a space to engage with so many awesome people. You guys are amazing. I’ll be back this Sunday Aug 14 with some other vendors for an indoor/outdoor market. Come by and say hi! In the meantime check out the brewery and grab some beer. They are doing some really cool things there.
