On the latest episode of Advocis Coffee Talks, David Stewart, Sr. VP, Independent Distribution at Canada Life Co discusses specific focuses and working with their distribution partners to support a successful outcome. “For whatever reason, there seems to be a trend where advisors that begin in the insurance business can build very profitable and strong wealth businesses, but advisors that begin in the wealth business struggle to build productive insurance practices.” David says there remains a tremendous opportunity to bring life to insurance, and provide basic counsel to wealth advisors through helping them learn their trade and build their craft.

“I think Canada’s at risk for independent advice.
