Regina Child and Youth Services’ ADHD Parent Education Group. We run groups several times a year!
Happy summer to everyone!
The CYS ADHD Parent Education Group will return on the following dates this late summer/early fall:
Main Parent Education Group (Behaviour Management): Thursday, September 19th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Regina Child and Youth Services -1680 Albert Street
ADHD Parent Education Group - Psychiatry (Medication and more) Presentation with Dr. Ajayi: Thursday, September 12th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Regina Child and Youth Services -1680 Albert Street
Both groups will be offered in a hybrid in-person and virtual format. To get on the list for the virtual offering, please call Child and Youth intake at 306-766-6700 and ask to be added to the invitation list for the upcoming ADHD Parent Education Groups. A link will then be sent to you via email closer to the date of the group.
If you wish to attend in person, no registration is necessary. Come to the Child and Youth waiting room on the second floor prior to 6:00 PM. Plenty of parking is available at the front of Child and Youth Services.

I'm sure a lot of you have heard the sad news already. Bruce Gordon, one half (and certainly the heart and soul of the operation) of the ADHD team passed away on Friday.
He was an exceptionally gifted, kind man who lived life with a lot of vigour. Generous and kind to a fault, Bruce cared deeply about his work and his families. Anyone who was lucky enough to know him and learn from him was better for it. I know a lot of you would have known Bruce more personally in some capacity so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need some support.
Please give your children a hug for Bruce. Be kind and carry it on. And if you're really inspired, have some hot cocoa, read Irish poetry, and make some soda bread.
The group will be on hiatus for a while, but we'll be back! In the meantime, I've got to study to be a little more like Bruce.

Better Nights, Better Days for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (BNBD-NDD) is an online behavioural treatment program that provides accessible evidence-based care for insomnia in children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), or FASD, aged 4 to 12.
