The MAGIC of a MORNING (or afternoon/ evening) ROUTINE ๐โจ
If we donโt prioritize the stuff thatโs important to us it will not get done!
A morning routine allows you to carve out time for the stuff you would like to do and prioritize. Those stuff thatโs good for & benefits YOU, that supports your health and well-being on all levels.
For me it looks like this:
Wake up ๐
Prayer/ meditation/ quiet time ๐
Huge glass of lemon water ๐ง
Gentle 20 minute walk ๐ถ
Daily Practice for 4-10 minutes- basic strength, fitness & mobility
Smoothie ๐
Sit down reflect & plan (for the day)
It took me years to be able to do this without (now) thinking about it โบ๏ธ
Itโs comes very naturally to me and I miss it if my morning turns out differently.
I also evolve the ROUTINE from time to time as I grow and develop ๐
It benefits me in setting the pace for the day and I get the important things in life, to me, DONE!
That constant voice of regret, procrastination & guilt are at rest ๐ค
HOW:
Start small
Choose something that is easy
Keep on until itโs second nature and hit priority without fail
Add the next
Keep on adding or evolving the list as you grow and develop yourself
AND KEEP IT FUN ๐คฉ
This morning: Ventersberg 1309m in the Garden Route, South Africa ๐๐๐ผ we all have a mountain to climb ๐งโโ๏ธ for some itโs starting to move, for others itโs to keep on moving more (exercises), then there are those that are ready to move more from what they doing now. There are always new skills to learn that allows the body to be healthier, more able and capable for an enjoyable life ๐ either wayโฆ tackle your mountain ๐ Start from where you at with what you have ๐
Just walk! Itโs easy. No equipment needed. Itโs fun. Itโs relaxing ๐
DP #9: 7 minutes of hip, knee, ankle & lower back mobility. A great way to start the day ๐. Also includes basic strength and fitness.
Staying consistent takes small manageable steps.
Steps that you know YOU can take, your pace & space, doing what works for you and enjoy!
From there you can increase (build on) what you already have established ๐ค
