A new round of the amazing program Nourishing Communities is starting!!
The round starts May 27 for 9 weeks on Thursdays @10 am
Every week, I will be covering a topic related to food and nutrition as well as a healthy recipe demo and discussion (check the flyer and MIAG's website)
Everyone residing in Canada can register, however, only participants residing in Mississauga are eligible to the raffle for a $50 gift card at the end of each session as well as a completion certificate and a gift card upon completing the program.
It has never been so important to educate ourselves about healthy nutrition while connecting with amazing people!!

The keto version of the Famous Kahk El Eid
Dry ingredients:
2 cups of almond flour
4 heaping tablespoons coconut flour
2 heaping tablespoons vital wheat gluten
1 tbsp of sugar (for the yeast activation)
1 tbsp active yeast
1/2 cup powdered sugar substitute to sprinkle on top (I used erythritol and monk fruit)
Wet ingredients:
1 egg white
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup melted butter
1/8 cup warm water
Mix all ingredients
Let it sit in a warm place for 2 hours until it almost doubles in size
Make equal size cookies and put it in a preheated on 350 Fahrenheit for 20 minutes
Sprinkle with powdered Sweetener
