We’re excited to announce that we're launching in the US and as of Monday, Silver Icing will have a dedicated US website! Up until now, our US customers have been shopping through our Canadian site, meaning prices were displayed in Canadian dollars and shipping was not optimized for international shipping and took a lot longer. With the launch of our US website, all of that changes!

WHAT THIS MEANS:
Optimized Shopping Experience: US customers will now shop in their own currency and enjoy faster shipping times, just like our Canadian customers do.
Seamless Site Switching: When visitors arrive, their IP will automatically direct them to the appropriate site—Canadian or US—but they’ll also have the option to toggle between the two if needed.
Opportunities for Canadian Stylists: If you have customers in the US or want to grow your customer base there, this is a fantastic opportunity! Your US customers will now have an experience tailored just for them, and you can expand your reach across the border.
Bonus Referral Opportunity: Canadian Stylists can now refer US residents to become Stylists too! For each successful referral, you’ll instantly earn 5,000 Flex Points ($25). Plus, if your US referral reaches USD$500 in commissionable sales within 90 days, you’ll earn a CAD$250 bonus!

Updated Stylist Sign-Up Offer:
Starting Monday, our new Stylist offer is updated and new Stylists in both Canada and the US will be able to sign up for just $29 and receive a $40 gift card!

FAQ's
COMMISSION & POINTS
If I make a sale in the US will I still earn commission in Canadian dollars?
If you make a sale for a US customer, the commission will be converted to CAD before it is deposited in your Stylist account as part of the commission pay out process at the end of the month. This means you’ll earn the US amount of commission (20%/15%/10% depending on product) converted to CAD at the conversion rate at the time of the payout.

How do points work on US purchases? Do I earn the same amount of Flex points if my US customer makes a purchase? What if I transfer points to a US customer?
If the currency of you as a Stylist doesn’t match the currency of the order then a conversion will be done. The current rate is 1.37, but that is subject to change as the currency rate changes.

How do commission payments and income taxes work when a Canadian Stylist has a US Customer and vice versa?
US based Customers and Stylists will transact with the US entity and Canadian based Customers and Stylists will transact with the Canadian entity. When a Stylist in Canada has a US based customer, the US entity will pay a referral fee (aka sales commission) to the Canadian entity for the sale. The Canadian entity will then deposit the sum of the US based commissions into the Canadian Stylists account at the end of the period based on the period end exchange rate. Since the Canadian Stylist is an independent contractor to the Canadian entity, all her income is earned in Canada and subject to Canadian income taxes.

ORDERS & PRODUCTS
Can I add a US customer to a Canadian group order?
No, it will need to be a separate direct order. Group orders are only going to be for Canadian customers.

Will Canada and US share inventory?
Yes, all inventory will be shared between the US and Canada but don't worry, our buying team has already been preparing for this launch and is ready to respond to an increase in demand.

Will products launch at the same time in US and Canada?
Yes, since the inventory is shared, we want to make sure everyone has fair access to the inventory

How will fair picking order work with US and Canadian orders?
Both US and Canadian orders will be bundled together in the same system, so fair picking order will work as if there was no difference between Canadian and US orders. Or to put it another way, it will work exactly the same as it always has!

Will all products be available in the US and CA?
Some products are currently unavailable in the US because of the US import rules. In particular this would be food products and some makeup.

CURRECY & LOCALIZATION
If I refer a US Stylist will I still be eligible for the $250 bonus?
Yes, you will still be eligible for the bonus if the referring Stylist sells more than $500 in commissionable sales within 90 days.

Can I purchase off the US website in Canada and have it ship to my Canadian Address?
No, the currency that the order is based off of will always match the destination address of the order.

Can I purchase off the US website if I have a mailbox in the US that I can ship to?
Yes, if you ship to a US address the order will be charged in USD and shipped to the US.

How will the app and Stylist packages work for US?
The app will use your Stylist address to determine what currency should be displayed as part of the Stylist package. This will also apply to the back office.

How will the app work with US Stylists? Will we be able to see other countries' Stylists' photos?
Photos uploaded by Stylists will be shared across borders enhancing our community, ability to crowd source fit, reviews and selfies!

What if I (or a customer) move between the US and Canada?
Stylist accounts are currently country locked. If you do change countries then you can email admin and we can get your account converted over.

How will the Facebook Groups work?
We have created a US specific Facebook HUB called SI Collective to communicate US specific prices and information about the daily drops. Canadian Stylists are welcome to join this group to obtain US specific launch information which will be valuable for those looking to expand their customer base in the US.

How will I know what currency an order is placed in?
In the back office, US orders will show up as USD both on the order page and the orders list.

How will incentive trips work?
US Stylists will have their own competition, earning spots exclusively for a USA incentive trip. Similarly, Canadian Stylists will compete for their own spots on the Canadian trip. While the competition for trip spots is country-specific, it’s important to note that both Canadian and US Stylists may attend the trip together. However, the ability to earn a spot on the trip is determined by the country in which the Stylist is based.

Is it a different link for the US website?
No, it’s the same link. It automatically uses the IP address to determine if you’re in Canada or the US.

SHIPPING
How do returns work for US customers?
We have a US address for US returns.

Can I offer a shipwith to my US customers?
Yes, shipwith's to the US will work the same as to Canadian customers. However, you won’t be able to ship a Canadian order in a US Ship with and vice versa.

Will customers have to pay duties?
There is currently an $800 personal duty free limit per day shipping from Canada to the US, so no, they won’t have to pay duties. If you place an order bigger than $800USD you will receive a warning (and they will need to pay duties if the order is placed). If you try and ship multiple orders in a shipwith group that total to over $800 for a single customer, the ship with will be split up into multiple shipments.

Will US Stylists have echo?
Yes! It will be USD$24.99 a month

How will shipping across the border work?
We have designed an expedited process to ship packages directly into the US shipping to customers via Fedex US.

How long will shipping take?
Typically 4-5 days.

Will shipping to the US be free over USD$100?
Yes!

How much will shipping in the US cost?
USD$8.99 for ground and USD$15.99 for air.

Kim's Be Bright Slides Review: You know what's weird? I was just saying I want a pair of house slides lol. A pair I don't wear outside that keep my feet clean from crumbs and pet hair :P These are super lightweight, a foam-like material with a cute textured pattern and sunken in footbed for added comfort. Love these for inside slides or cute summer sandals! Great pool/beach/boat shoes too as they will float! Wearing my true size 39 and they fit great. I am a size 8 with wide feet for reference.
