This colourful 14” wreath is a lovely example of what I can make with a season’s ribbons from a circuit, and even includes a medal (positioned in the centre of the white rosette).

Made from a big champion ribbon, I think this is my favourite ornament to date!

Turn your favourite rosette into a favourite keepsake 😁.

Now that the holidays are over, I can share pics of some of the many wreaths and ornaments I made without spoiling anyone’s surprise 😁

A lovely 18” double wreath with ruffle edge for an accomplished equestrian! I sometimes am asked if I can add medals to the wreath, and here is a good example of how that looks. They are heavy and a bit fussy to work with, but add a pretty detail to the wreath and are so meaningful to the rider.

After an ornament blitz I’ve caught up with pre- Christmas orders and am accepting new orders! I also offer gift certificates 😁

It’s ornament season! If you’re interested in getting photo ornaments, please contact me soon…the photo printing fulfillment takes longer as we approach holidays, as does shipping.

This beauty went off to its home today via the Oka ferry. 😁 This is actually a double wreath, which works well when you have a lot of ribbons, and/or very large rosettes.

Thank you, everyone, who donated ribbons to me! What do I use these for?

Some I use as extra material on a project when I’m short a piece or two to complete a design.

Some I use when I am trying out something new: a new design, size, concept, etc. I need practice materials for all of that.

I’m sure another use will pop up sooner or later as well! Whatever it is, I hope it calls for a lot of yellow. 😁

ETA I also have to thank Westar Farms for their fun ribbon colours. I like working with their different shades for variety.

One part of the wreath-making process that I really enjoy is sorting through a box of many years’ worth of ribbons, and seeing a rider’s progress over the years.

This person’s box went from Lead Line to 1.30m in the big ring.

I'm at Wesley Clover Parks this afternoon, October 15, for order pickups! Message me if you're interested in placing an order or if you just want to find out more about what I can make with your ribbons.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Ottawa area folks, I will be at Wesley Clover Parks for the Bronze Championship show on October 14. I will be doing pickups and drop offs while there. If you are contemplating placing an order, this is a good way to save on some shipping!

Thank you everyone for your orders…I’ve been busy, busy, busy and am behind on posting photos.

I had a special request for a wreath with a ruffle edge and some accent rosettes. I love the silver detail in the ruffles, complemented by silver ball pins on the inner edge, and the rich reds and blues from the ribbons.

Pink + Pony cuteness overload! How adorable is this?! Photo ornament with pink and silver ribbons, awesome pony with tiny rider, and horsey-themed ribbon trim.

********NEW********

I’m excited to now be offering photo ornaments! The domed half is a lovely custom ribbon design, and the flat half has a photo disc mounted on a rosette (optional: just the rosette, without the photo).

This is a 4” ornament. I have the photo print made from your digital copy. The printing fulfillment does take 1-2 weeks, so I will include that in my estimated completion date for your order. ORDER EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS!

$45 with photo, $35 with rosette
I need at least 3 ribbons for this.

A different design for a champion wreath! This one has a bow edge and a row of folded points for extra detail.

When you have a lot of ribbons from the same show circuit, you can accumulate many ribbons with the same design. In this case, the ribbons from this show series all have a row of stars, which add a cute accent when placed on the wreath.

Are you wanting to do something with your collection of ribbons, but also cringing at the thought of cutting them up? I felt that way too before I made some keepsakes for myself. After taking the plunge I realized how happy I was to see all of my mementos combined together where I could see them and reflect on all the fun I had winning them. You still have your ribbons; they are just rearranged!

I incorporated some fun sparkly gold ribbon that I had to this ornament. It adds panache to the rich blue and cream. The only downside to working with this stuff is that my workspace and everything I touched is now covered in glitter!

I usually stick to wreaths, but sometimes make some ornaments as well.

Another take on a Champion wreath, this one with a ruffled edge for a slightly different look.

06/07/2023

Enormous, purple ribbons. They looked odd just hanging on a wall, but they look great adorning a wreath!

06/07/2023

Wreaths make a cute tack room decoration, in your barn colours! This is a 14” with double ruffle edge.

06/07/2023

Sometimes you have a special ribbon that means a lot to you, and it’s not necessarily a first place or champion ribbon. Maybe it’s the first ribbon you won on a new horse, or in a special class. This wreath celebrates an otherwise humble sixth place rosette that nonetheless represents a big accomplishment for the rider!

06/07/2023

A fun way to arrange greens, yellows, browns, and oranges into a Fall theme. 18” half points, half rosettes.

Photos from Ribbon Reverie's post 06/07/2023

You know you compete a lot when you have enough purple, dark blue, and silver ribbons to complete a wreath! 14" with single rosette.

06/07/2023

I love working with "assorted" colours, like in this 18" wreath with a Spring/Easter theme. This style is half points/half rosettes.
