My mom's real big on gardening. She’s got this gorgeous yard full of vibrant plants and cute yard statuettes. But we've had some real lowlifes come by and steal stuff. Folks have snatched potted plants right off our porch! And those yard statuettes she carefully placed? Gone!

It got even worse. These jerks dug up whole plant bulbs with the plants still attached. One time, someone cut all the roses off her bushes, probably 'cause they were too cheap to buy from a florist. My fiancé and I live in an apartment where the building maintenance occasionally hires window cleaners. A few days ago, I come home to see a cleaner working outside. It’s a bit awkward; I feel like a fish in a tank. As soon as the cleaner sees me walk in and kiss my fiancé, he freezes. I brush it off and go about my day.
