We do not need to "toughen up" our children, nor do we need to distract from or cajole them out of their feelings.

When we make space for our children to fully FEEL those big feelings, then they can practice returning back to calm.

In time, this neural pathway will become more worn, and they will be more easily return to a regulated state when big feelings pay them a visit. ❤️
