We're very excited to share a sneak peak of our new song and video that will be out this Friday.

What started out as a small seed of an idea has grown into something bigger and more epic than we could have ever imagined. This song came from a deep, secret place, and we're so grateful to the many friends and collaborators who have put so much life and beauty into it and helped bring it out into the open.

Maybe it’s just being housed for so long by covid but it makes one want to run to Europe. To experience all of that depth of history. To breath in the art from people who have conquered and suffered greatly. Art that took years, not days, to perfect.

Wakesleeper’s next single, Stolen, is all about the bloodshed that comes from sacrificial love. 🖤 And the intense beauty and pain that comes from that.

How do you know when it’s time to let go?

Fall is officially here, and with each new season comes new hope, but also the loss of things past. Do you try to hold on to what’s fading away, or do you release it? What if the thing you’re desperately trying to hold on to is also the thing you need to let go?

Looking back at the past, I often wonder if I would have done things differently. Should I have reached out earlier? Been more vulnerable? Been less distracted…but there’s no going backwards. Life marches forward.

This release tomorrow is a snapshot into one of those moments. The moment of separation. I wish this has happened differently but it didn’t. And, ultimately, it can still be beautiful. Painful, raw and yet, still beautiful. I look forward to sharing it with you all tomorrow!

The Bird's Companion

Since we've been together, we've been part of plenty of musical projects. But this is the first release that's truly our own.
We've also lived some life over those years - love, babies, trauma, healing - and you can hear a lot of that life in this song, which will be out next Friday, June 10.

On an early, dewy Sunday morning, we slung our vintage, Pentax K1000, packed with experimental film, into the rain forest just outside Victoria, BC. This is the result, raw and unedited.

The same is coming for our first song release on June 10th. Care of Me is a raw, real song about the heart break of being unable to care for a loved one. No filters, just real moments.

It's been a year in the making. Stay tuned as we release it for New Music Friday and share this piece of beauty with all of you.
