**Shop Update**

Turns out, I absolutely love making macarons and really missed making them.

I don’t know much, but I do know that I hope to be making weekly macarons again.

Keep your eyes peeled for more info as I figure it out myself.

I love baking, and I love having others enjoy it too.

I am so thankful for what this little bake shop turned into for me since the pandemic hit, but as the school year started and life sort of settled into a new normal, I was struggling to manage it all.

I quickly realized I needed to remember what my priority is, and it’s my family. My husband, and my children. The greatest gifts the Lord has given me.

So, I am pushing pause on the bake shop. Not forever, just for now.

I am so incredibly grateful for the support my little shop has received and how much love I have felt.

You know that smiley face that looks up at you from the packaging on my baking?

It’s more than just a cute stamp.

My sweet mother-in-law Brenda used to add this smiley face to every card, every note, every letter, every doodle she ever wrote.

After she passed away in 2013, my sister-in-law and I both had stamps made in memory of her. Since then, I have use this stamp when sending out birth announcements, Christmas cards, and notes.

When I started packaging my baking, using this stamp on the tag just felt right.

It reminds me of warmth, of love, of happiness.

All the things I hope you feel when you unwrap my baking.

Things will be quiet in the kitchen over the next week or so as I adjust to my new baking assistant.

Our family welcomed Riley, an F1BB Goldendoodle from on Friday and to say we are in love is an understatement.

Once I get my bearings, and into a comfortable routine with Riley, I’ll be back at it.

Shop Update!

I am so excited to get back into the swing of things this month! I so enjoyed the summer break with my kiddies, but definitely missed the structure and routine of the school year. Anyone else? 😆

I will be accepting orders beginning the week of September 13 onward. I will be easing back into it, and finding a balance, so space is limited for orders.

I have missed all of you, and am excited to reconnect!

There is a key piece of equipment a baker requires when baking.

An oven.

Well friends, I have been without a working oven since June 27, and let me tell you - I miss baking SO dang much.

My new oven should arrive in two days, dm then begins the journey of learning how to bake in it. I am most nervous about figuring out macarons in it, but I am SO excited. I need to bake.

Hopefully I’ll be able to start posting some of the items that I bake for flash sale in stories next week so make sure you’ve got story notifications turned on!

This is something I wasn’t planning on putting into action for another week or two, but due to some recent health issues, I am closing the shop for the Summer with plans to reopen in September when my kids go back to school.

This bake shop has given me such joy and purpose over the last eight months, and it makes me a little bit sad to have to close up early, but I need to make my health a priority.

Even with the shop ‘closed’ baking is such a therapeutic and joy filled thing for me, so I expect I will still be baking here and there and will likely post whatever I bake in stories for random ‘Flash Sales’ so stay tuned!

Cheddar, Chive & Bacon scones make the best breakfast, easy lunch, or side with dinner. Who knew a scone could be so versatile 😜

These savory scones bake up so big and beautiful the box won’t close properly! Though, I’d say that’s a good problem to have.

Feeling so refreshed after this long weekend spent with my little family. Excited to get back into the kitchen and bake to my hearts content!

When one of your customers takes a dreamy photo of your focaccia bread, it must be posted.

This Sun Dried Tomato, Roasted Garlic & Rosemary focaccia smelled heavenly when being made, and I only got rave reviews back from the customer!

Safe to say that Focaccia will definitely be making its way onto the menu very soon!
