The situations that life puts us in are always accompanied by great contradictions. You hate the tough situation that you are in but you love the people who surround you and help you through it. You hate the situation a friend is in but you love that you can help. You hate when a friend falls in battle but you love that they were there by your side. You struggle with the fact that they fell but you didn’t, yet you’re thankful, selfishly, that you’re ok. Tough situations can be a lifetime of emotions in a short period of time and the chaos of these contradictions make it harder. Take the time to process them - embrace these moments. The sun will rise again, and when it does, carry forward the lessons, the memories and the strength forged in those moments.

You wouldn't want to go alone, and you wouldn't want any of them to go alone either. So, you go together, and you fight like hell.

➡️ Today marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Dedicated to the brave souls that hit the beaches of Normandy together and brought the fight to a formidable foe.

June is PTSD Awareness Month. Let's break the silence, spread awareness, support those affected by trauma, and remember the importance of checking in on each other. Together, we can make a real difference. 💚
