James Rice
Huron-Bruce Federal Liberal candidate for the 44th Canadian general election.
Today’s the day Canada!
We have a choice between a Conservative government that will take us backwards or a Liberal government that will:
✅ finish the fight against COVID-19
✅ support students and seniors
✅ tackle climate change
✅ deliver $10/day childcare
✅ make owning a home more attainable
And so much more!
If having a progressive representative in Huron-Bruce matters to you vote Liberal today. The Liberal party is the only party that can beat the Conservatives and the only party that has a real plan to move Canada forward.
Today I’m asking for your trust and your vote to be your next MP.
In order for Canada to keep being a leader on climate change, vaccination and working to build a better and more fair future, we need a progressive government.
It’s a close race here in Huron-Bruce and I hope I can count on your support to ensure we have a progressive voice in Ottawa.
Youth in are voting with their future in mind. Whether you’re planning on buying a home, paying off student loans, or looking to work in our vibrant agricultural industry, I’m dedicated to making sure your concerns are heard.

During the debate held by the Kincardine Chamber and the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce this week, all candidates were asked about their position on conversion therapy. I am firmly against conversion therapy, but unfortunately my Conservative opponent was one of a handful of Conservative MPs who voted against banning this harmful practice earlier this year.
Attempting to “convert” someone for being who they are is a cruel and harmful practice. If you are a progressive voter in Huron-Bruce, I’m asking for your support this election. I am committed to continuing to be an ally in support of our LGBTQ+ community, and I want to represent your voice as Huron-Bruce’s Member of Parliament. We must not go backward. Let’s keep moving forward.

Our seniors are a critical part of the community, which is why we’re dedicated to making sure they receive the support they need. From helping seniors stay in their homes longer to improving long-term care, we’re making sure that everyone is able to age comfortably.
We know that the last year and a half have been tough, which is why we’re committed to implementing policies that help all of us.
From finishing the fight against COVID-19 to making housing affordable, we’re moving forward for everyone.
It was an honour to canvass with Ahmed Hussen today! Many in Huron-Bruce understand that we need affordable housing and childcare. It was great to connect with the Minister and discuss how our plan will make life more affordable for families in Huron-Bruce.
Great day canvassing in Port Elgin followed by a great afternoon with supporters and volunteers in Southampton! Thanks to all those who came out to discuss our positive plan to move Canada Forward, share their perspective, and commit to working together over the course of the campaign and beyond.
While Erin O’Toole and the Conservatives debate whether climate change is real, our team will continue to take bold action to protect our planet and create jobs.
Canadians today deserve the same shot at owning a home that their parents had. That’s why we’re moving forward with a plan that will build more homes across the country, protect your rights, and help you buy a home. Get the details at liberal.ca/housing
As someone who has recently purchased a home, I know first hand how important these changes to the blind bidding process are. Homebuyers should have transparency when making what will likely be the largest purchase of their lives. The Liberal plan to improve housing affordability does that, and more! ⬇️

Families across Canada need a high quality, affordable childcare system. 8 provinces and territories have signed on already. The Conservatives have promised to rip up our progress on this crucial issue. We can’t let them do that.
Help ensure Huron-Bruce gets an MP who is committed to bringing this new childcare system to Ontario. Visit https://jamesrice.liberal.ca/ to see how you can help!
Just arrived at the Bayfield Fair & Agricultural Society, and already I've been able to enjoy their amazing Pineridge Barbecue Co. chicken dinner! This year, the Ag Society is celebrating a remarkable 165 years of showcasing the best of the agricultural community in the Bayfield area, and this year is no exception. If you're in the area this weekend, be sure to drop by and see their livestock shows, comedy entertainment, and more. Fireworks will be happening at 9pm this evening.
The Liberal Government has had your back, and now it’s time to hear your voice.

Happy ! Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation Camps help kids and youth from underserved communities build important life and leadership skills.
I can personally vouch for that - because I was one of those kids. I went to the Tatamagouche, NS camp in 2005 and still think of it all the time. Always make sure to get a coffee today ☕️
