Connor Mackenzie of the Grande Prairie Storm is the recipient of the Friends of AJHL Trophy as the Top Goaltender for the 2022-23 season.

Mackenzie leads the AJHL with a .929 save percentage in his second season with the Storm and was selected as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game 13 times.

Hello everyone, my name is Brandon Wells. I was born and raised in the Peace Country region. Currently the Goaltender Coach for the Grande Prairie Storm (AJHL) & Assistant Coach & Goaltending Coach for the Sexsmith Vipers (NWJHL).

Little bit about myself, I moved away when I was sixteen to pursue hockey at the Okanagan Hockey Academy before moving on to play Jr.A in western Canada for (Melville Millionaires, Spruce Grove Saints, and Trail Smoke Eaters). After juniors I attended Plattsburgh State University (NCAA Div3) where I played four years and majored in Sports Management and Marketing and with a minor in Business & Coaching.
