Do you have an ICF foundation sitting exposed to the damaging rays of the sun?
We can protect it with Cork. The UV stable finished layer of Cork will protect your insulated concrete for many years. We use a process that doesn't add a lot of thickness to the surface or a bunch of weight.
Text, email or call today to get an estimate on your foundation before it's to late.
Here is what we do with cinderblock foundations. Adding life and restoring them to better then new condition. We have a process to fix just about any foundation.
This wood foundation had seen better days. It wasn’t horrible but definitely had some troubled spots we had to seal then repair. The cork finishes the house and garage nicely.
We stopped back out near Yellow Grass to a customer of ours that we had corked their foundation this summer. This time we sprayed some insulation in their garage. We applied 3” of Carlisle Seal Tite one to the walls and roof deck. At about 96% efficient this garage will be toasty warm this winter.
This project also included our air barrier package and is now ready for the walls and ceiling to be closed in.
We were out in Weyburn this Spring and did a bunch of work to the outside of this house. Here are a few pictures of the work that was done. We scratch coated the enclosed decks and sprayed everything with some Thunder Grey Vipeq Thermal Cork instead of tradition cement/acrylic parging. Have a look at the transformation.
Loose Concrete, broken parging, peeling paint and stains. Cork is still the fix for all of this. We have a very strong mixture of products we use to fix all the problems with your foundation and make them look great again.
Once again if you have ICF and your not sure what to do to finish it. Let us take care of it for you. It will last many years longer then tradition stucco’s or parging. Don’t leave it exposed to the sun for to long. All styrofoam breaks down when not covered up so make sure you protect your valuable asset and have us cover it with cork. That styrofoam is your insulation so don’t leave it exposed. Covering ICF with metal or siding can give mice a nice area to build nests and runways behind. Have us apply cork to the ICF directly to eliminate voids.
Even the areas under your deck can use some cork. It not only protects your foundation from the elements, but with our process of prep and application it can keep out pests and bugs at the same time. If your home is like most others in the province and your finding “halloween bugs/caraganna bugs” in your basement, spiders or possibly the odd MOUSE ahhh!! sorry. Then have us seal and cork your foundation. We have had several customers comment at how, what we have done to the outside of their foundation has decreased or eliminated the amount of bugs in their basements. This has happened with both new and old homes.
We had a little repair work to do before we would spray a layer of Cork and bring some life back into this foundation. Not sure what to do with your foundation? Don’t worry give us a call and we can make it look new again. From minor repairs to major repairs we have a solution for them all.
Another Calving shed. We sprayed 2” on this entire room to help control the temp swings and keep the temperature inside more stable. They didn’t want to much insulation that the cows would sweat, but didn’t want the roof dripping from the heat and humidity the cattle generate meeting the cold tin.
We can even insulate your water trough. This guy just needs a lid and then it’s ready to keep many gallons of water thawed this winter.
We came in after the basement was framed out and electrical was roughed in to blast some polyurethane insulation on this concrete. With a 1” gap behind the framing we gave this basement a 100% air barrier and between the studs a vapour barrier, to make it an extremely comfortable space. Don’t worry if there is ever a water problem down here, with polyurethane foam we have your back, you won’t have to replace or dry any insulation if it gets wet, just fix the floor and drywall and carry on.
We are hiring. If you know someone that is wanting to work for a family own and operated company and feel like they are an important and valuable asset of a company, have them contact us. We are looking for people that have a passion for carpentry and constructing beautiful spaces for our customers.
LocalJobShop.ca CMF Elite Properties is looking for a hard working, motivated individual to join our family owned and operated custom home building/renovation team in Radville.
A little look at a large project we are working on for one of our customers in a new home they are building. The first of approximately 5000 sqft of living space and about 53000 board feet of polyurethane spray foam. We are installing 4” in the ceiling and 3” in the walls. This home isn’t going to use much energy to heat or cool. Not to mention how much stronger the structure is with spray foam everywhere (up to 300% more strength when the entire building is sprayed with 3” or more)
Insulated Cork Spray-A Fantastic Building Product - Make It Right® Mike Holmes explains the many benefits of insulated cork spray from your home. It's truly a fantastic building product.
Went out to Elbow to insulate a garage for one of the cabin owners.
We have been busy. Sprayed 2” in some Ag buildings down at Gladmar.
Sprayed 2” of Insulation in this shop down near Coronach. LTTR of 10.4, 100% air barrier and a vapour barrier. This is the minimum we can spray in a building.
Some cork on the lake.
We went out to Main Prize Park to apply some cork on a home on the water.
We applied the colours Natural on the sunroom walls and Coffee on the house foundation. Once again we applied a skim coat on the foundation before the cork and a base coat with fibreglass mesh on all the OSB wood walls. With a liquid water proof layer.
A little insulation we installed outside of Weyburn. This shop is going to be cozy.
3” of SealTite One makes these walls 96% efficient with a 100% air barrier. 3” can add up 300% more strength to the structure.
Another drastic change, this time near Fillmore. Twila and Dennis are now able to enjoy the benefits of cork on their home.
We used Thunder Grey on the foundation after grinding it flat and applying a skim coat to flatten it out and Natural colour on the walls.
Mike Holmes uses and approves the industry's best products.
We are proud to have his stamp of approval and love what he does to elevate the standards in the construction industry.
We were out near Briercrest last week and took care of this house and foundation. Even with the heat and humidity reaching 40+ degrees Celsius we got it done. We had to wash and scrape off all the loose paint. Unfortunately the paint this customer applied to the concrete just like so many other people do trapped the water and cause accelerated deterioration. There was a ton of concrete that had popped from the surface behind the paint.
We had to apply a skim coat to the foundation to fill all the holes and smooth out the foundation some so it wasn’t so rough.
Then we sprayed grey cork on the walls and Charcoal cork on the foundation.
All wrapped up in Dinsmore. Not a huge change in color but a huge change in product. Went from painted treated wood to scratch coat and cork.
The maintenance went from repainting every year or two to keep the wood from drying out, to maybe a wash or two in 15+ years.
