This is why full excavation and proper drainage material is so crucial on a retaining wall system.
We do things a little different ‘round here!
This old natural stone wall collapsed because of all the clay and soil behind it not allowing the water to drain. As you can see, we excavated all that and went above and beyond the drainage stone requirements for this 2 tiered wall.
