Our stitch marker necklaces are made with sturdy wire and a selection of beads in a colour theme. They make unique jewelry and handy for those out and about knitting sessions when you need some stitch markers!

Really enjoyed some resin crafting time. Thinking the lidded jar would make a good pet urn. And those buttons are such fun. Might make the building blocks into keychains or charms.

The temperatures are starting to drop. Here is my favorite dog walking/gardening/wandering in the woods jacket. It's got a small chest pocket where my triplex Sgian Dubh (https://hobbychaos.ca/HC_store/?s=Sgian+Dubh&post_type=product) lives. The kangaroo pocket has lovely high sides so your gear doesn't fall out the minute you go to tie your shoes. Being 70% wool, it has the wonderful wool qualities like warmth, water resistance and fire resistance but it's also machine washable (in cooler water). I lay flat to dry. These are high quality jackets made locally. https://hobbychaos.ca/HC_store/?s=pullover&post_type=product
TripleX isn't making these anymore so once these are gone, they are gone.

These orchids have been popping up in our yard, they're called Ladies Tresses (a tress is a long lock of hair). There are a few varieties that grow here and I haven't figured out which one it is yet. They're only about 8 or 9 inches tall.

Latest finished object: improvised socks. Used the stitch count inspired by the crazy sock lady's vanilla sock pattern (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vanilla-socks-on-magic-loop). The leg is k3p1. The heel is the fish lips kiss. And the toe is the French toe (from here https://www.gathered.how/knitting-and-crochet/knitting/how-to-choose-the-right-sock-toe-knitting-method/). Yarn is Earth Magic from Nerds With Needles. Love this colour way. It's totally my colours!

Today's project was a smaller project bag meant for small projects like a sock. This is another prototype. 5 inch square. Might figure out an alternate to the tabs as they overwhelm the smaller bag.

Today's project was a project bag prototype. Accidentally inspired by a pumpkin.

Today's finished object is an old school f***y pack. Also known as a historically inspired pocket. I hand embroidered the decoration. Pocket is machine sewn. Also contains a pocket inside the pocket to corral my phone. Worn by threading a belt through the top.

I just finished this commissioned custom walking belt. So fun!

https://hobbychaos.ca/HC_store/product/excalibur-6-tray-stackable-dehydrator/

The best kitchen sized dehydrator we've ever used. These units are so quiet you can run them in your kitchen and still hear yourself think. We have two of the big 9 tray Excalibur units and we still bring our 6 tray stackable out regularly. Great for herbs and small batches of apple chips, banana chips, green peppers, etc. And the best thing is, these units are sale! We have two in stock. Once they are gone, we likely won't restock because ordering inventory from the US is not fun these days.

We will be setting up at a table at this event. Please let us know if you want us to bring anything (hobbychaos.ca). Also, a portion of all stitch marker sales will be added to our donation to the Tearmann Society for Abused Women.

Get ready for the 3rd Annual Sisterhood Stashbuster & Used Equipment Sale next weekend (July 8th)! This is a yard sale format so Stashbuster items will require cash to purchase.

Seller space and admission proceeds go to the Tearmann Society for Abused Women. Tearmann Society envisions a world without violence against women. Let’s help them make that vision a reality!

Interested in selling? Check out the event listing on our website for details at sisterhoodfibres.com

Todays product highlight is TripleX Knives. The maker of these knives has sadly retired from making them so there aren't many left to purchase. Sturdy and sharp, these knives will last you a lifetime, whether you take them out into the bush or just admire their beauty (or is that just me?). All the knives come with a free leather sheath.

Sometimes projects take a while to get done. Yes those are Halloween prints :). Love the mask pattern from Jalie Sewing Patterns / Patrons de couture.
