Can you feel it? Autumn is upon us and with autumn creeping in means the return of Samhain. A spicy scent reminiscent of crunching leaves and a spiced latte.

🍂 𝓢𝓪𝓶𝓱𝓪𝓲𝓷 (pronounced sow-in) is the first of 8 pagan earth festivals meaning "end of summer" (proceeded by the start of winter). It is the start of the Celtic New Year and celebrates death and rebirth as it honours the dying sun, and a celebration of the lives of ancestors.

🍂 Fires were burned in honour of the dying sun and to give gratitude for the life force and nutrients the sun provides. Burning a fire was in an effort to help the sun on its journey across the skies until its rebirth in Spring.

🍂 It is the last of the 3 harvests (Lughnasa, Fall Equinox then Samhain). The seeds for next year were selected and the last of the harvest was picked. Whatever was left in the garden or fields after this time was said to belong to the nature spirits.

🍂 𝓢𝓪𝓶𝓱𝓪𝓲𝓷 was crafted for protection from negative energy or spirits, while attracting positive energy. It is purifying, enhances divination and is a wonderful offering to the nature spirits.

𝓢𝓪𝓶𝓱𝓪𝓲𝓷 is available in the online store and will be available at upcoming autumn markets.
