Re our PAY IT FORWARD campaign: People have been asking if we're able to issue charitable donation receipts. Regrettably, the answer is no - we're a federally incorporated non-profit foundation, not a charity. We can certainly provide you with an invoice acknowledging your contribution and particularly if you represent a company, this may be eligible to be written off in other ways.

There are slightly different nuances to each type of non-profit organization, and we chose the one that best suited our overall needs. Unfortunately there's always some a give and take involved with choices and the loss of ability to write charitable tax receipts was one of them. We hope this won't discourage you from paying it forward so we can continue our good work!

Someone also asked if there would be recognition involved for sizable donations. ABSOLUTELY! If you would like to make a contribution to the Achieve Anything Foundation on behalf of yourself, business or other type of organization, we would be pleased to recognize your support on our foundation website. Our non-profit foundation relies on grants, donations, and volunteers to offer incredible, FREE hands-on experience events for women & girls. Our events are always free for all participants to prevent any barriers to participation.

As a result of the pandemic and subsequent economic crisis, our donations are way down. While all of our events are entirely free for all participants, they are far from free to organize. We've been limping along on a shoestring budget but it's not enough for us to keep going.

Don't watch from the sidelines - come experience one of the Lower Mainland's best parades from within while helping promote our incredible, free hands-on outreach events in exceptional style! We'll have a huge float to decorate once it arrives downtown and a very tight window in which to decorate before the cut-off time. So we need all our awesome parade volunteers for all hands on deck very early in order to look AMAZING for tens of thousands of spectators! Duties during the parade include banner carrier, envelope passer (inside the traditional red envelopes are invitations to our free outreach events), greeter. Volunteers are given shop coats and magenta scarves to wear (a take on Rosie the Riveter). Please share with everyone you know and invite them to join you!

VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED!!!

Hey everyone! If you like the work the Achieve Anything Foundation is doing to improve gender diversity in high tech fields by inspiring female future leaders in STEM with incredible hands-on events, then I desperately could use your help!

I work 7 days a week and stay up most nights until the wee hours because there's a lot of essential work that goes on behind the scenes to support these events, and build new ones. When there's nobody to help to get things done, it falls on my shoulders.

This isn't sustainable, and is hampering our growth! A lot of the work that needs doing revolves around research and documentation that helps us grow our network and can be done remotely (yes, that means anywhere in BC, Canada, the USA or beyond)!

Do you have some spare time you can donate to a good cause? Would you like to build work or community experience? Have we impacted your life in a positive way and you'd like to pay it forward to another?

Any gender, young or old - you can help! Got Microsoft Office skills? Graphic design skills? Photography skills? Photo editing (Adobe Lightroom) skills? Good communications skills? Adobe Creative Suite skills? Coding skills? Cultural connections? Indigenous connections? Community connections? Education connections? Like to walk/drive around the community and put up posters? We've got a wide range of duties we need help with!
