This black walnut unit was built to house our clients stereo components in his recently renovated living room. The live edge slabs added a little wow to this classic design.

What a great opportunity to have collaborated with my friend Allan from Hodder Cabinets on this custom built-in for the man cave. The end result speaks for itself.

Yesterdays treasure hunt was a huge success.

This pair of exquisite red and white oak night side tables are fresh out of the shop.
Careful board selection of each species provided the perfect opportunity to create a subtle “his and her” set for the customer. They feature gorgeous grains that pop with the waterfall edges, and are accentuated with modern bold hardware.

My friend Don ‘ had approached me about a small flooring job for him. We chatted about the space and what he/we have done with it over the past few years and came up with a plan to use some pine that was salvaged from his land that had been milled and dried by myself. As I prepped the materials we talked more about stain and possible options which appear endless to many. In the end I couldn’t be more pleased with our decision and neither could Don. We went with Rubio Monocoat’s pre aging and it really made the character of these boards pop.
The only real challenge was the heat yesterday. But we got it down and cooled off off with a dip in beautiful Lake Muskoka.
Yes under the ladder is not down but we are going to revisit that stair/ladder and see if we can class it up a little. So those boards are currently waiting that decision.

Wanted to thank Devon and his crew from Sugarbush Tree Service for dropping off these beauty pine logs from a storm damage removal they completed over the weekend. From logs to lumber, looking forward to loading these beauties onto my mill.

Awhile back I was approached and asked if I could help restor/refurbish the table on a clients sailboat. We came up with a plan and I was very pleased with the outcome but never saw the table in it’s forever home as the sailboat was anchored somewhere in the southern US. This morning I received some shot of the table in action on its way towards Mexico. What a great gift on this cold morning.

I’ve been working on these nesting trays using one of my greatest tools, the Shaper Origin. I ran into a snag mid project and reached out to their support platform; I had a response within the hour. The representative, Blake, inquired kindly about my setup, and patiently guided me through a minor adjustment on the layout of the design, completely fixing the issue. Today, I hit another obstacle, a broken toggle on the workstation. I have had this tool for a couple years now. I asked Blake if he could assist in me sourcing a new bar. I was blown away that not 5 minutes after I emailed, did I receive confirmation a replacement piece was on its way.
I am truly grateful!
