March 27th, 2024, marks National WIL Day, and in honour of National WIL Month, we would like to announce, in partnership with CapU WIL, the Partner of the Year Award.
In addition to the Partner of the Year Award, CityStudioNV has a big announcement to make:
This coming Fall, we will be celebrating five years of CityStudioNV. Over the past five years, we have created over 103 collaborations and 620 projects and worked with over 92 partners, 77 faculty members, and 2500 students, and we are continuously growing.
Students in GEOG 210 (Natural Hazards) are collaborating with North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM) to develop and present conceptions for a digital story map focusing on the eight identified priority hazards for the North Shore.
North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM) is an inter-municipal agency that has provided emergency management services for the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and District of West Vancouver since 1978.

This Thursday, October 5, from 5:45-7:45 pm, Museum and Archives of North Vancouver will be hosting a scrapbooking session with Indigenous Cultural Programmer Jordan Dawson. Admission for this event is $10.00, and art supplies, refreshments and tea are included. All that you need to bring is your photos and inspiration.

We are excited to release photos from our recent Summer 2023 Collaboration with CMNS 295 and North Vancouver RCMP. Students in this course were to produce and create a series of stock photos and social media posts showcasing North Vancouver RCMP members throughout various North Shore locations. The images for future social media posts and communication material.

Do you love drag shows and dance parties? If you answered Yes to both of these questions, our partner MMuseum and Archives of North Vancouverhas an exciting event on July 29, Saturday, from 6:00 â11:00pm. MONOVA hosts âHistory Inspired Drag: Drag Show and Dance Party with DJ O Show.â Celebrate Pride with an incredible cast of drag artists whose performances will be based on their research and connections to North Shoreâs history. Each of their performance will feature video projection artwork created from MONOVAâs archival material.

North Van Arts hosts âWomen, Life, Freedomâ at the CitySpace Community Art Space from July 7â August 26. This exhibition amplifies the voices of Iranian women and shares their stories of beauty and strength. This showcase celebrates the beauty and strength of Iranian women while also shedding light on the inequality women face internationally.

It's Pride Wednesdays! This week, CityStudioNV features our partner North Van Arts The North Van Arts is hosting Q***r Bash, an art exhibition until July 1st, 2023, at the CityScape Community ArtSpace. This show aims to present the 2SLGBTQ+ community of resilience in light of the years of violence and prejudice that they have endured. In addition, the word "bash" can be described as a celebration and a condemnation.
