Find out what you can do with a degree in anthropology! On Friday February 11th from 12-1pm the department of anthropology is hosting a 1 hour panel discussion with two U of T anthropology alumni who now have careers in user experience research and design research . Alumni Gillian Macdonald and Navreet Nahal will talk about their current jobs, how they use skills they learned in anthropology, how they got to where they are now, and the challenges they faced along the way. Welcome back everyone! The anthropology department has created a new anthropology minor!! Medical Anthropology is a subfield that draws on both socio-cultural and evolutionary anthropology to examine health inequalities, disease vulnerability, illness discourses and meanings, and therapeutic systems around the world.
