FYI
Sudden onset blindness and dilated pupils. This is ivermectin toxicity due to eating a little bit of horse wormer that the horse spat out.
A fabulous visit from Alder and Krystal and Dan! This little man is from my first litter! They live in Burnaby and stopped by on their way home from holidays so I could see him all grown up!
This is so worth the read!
WARNING WHEN FREEZING KONGS ! 🐾🐾🐾
Please ensure that if you are stuffing Kongs and freezing them for your pets to help keep them cool, don’t forget to ensure there is a HOLE ALL OF THE WAY THROUGH IT.
WHY YOU MAY ASK ?
Toys such as Kongs have two holes in them - TO PREVENT SUCTION.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT ?
When your pet licks at the contents of the toy or squeezes it in its mouth, their tongue can get SUCKED into the hole and get STUCK, this can cause horrific injuries to the point where the animal can actually die.
Having two HOLES in the toy PREVENTS this from happening.
So if you STUFF your toys with treats, push a straw through it to ensure the two HOLES ARE NOT BLOCKED.
If you are going to FREEZE the toy, do so with the straw in place and then remove when giving it to you pet.
Keep safe and well – both you and your pooches.
Love Anne and Maggie (and Brody the furry house guest) xx

This is our very first standard run at the agility trial last weekend…..Wisdom did awesome! Yes we still have to work on the weave poles….she does 6 but 12 is another thing…..she does these in two so in her mind she is still doing 6 ! Too smart
ABSOLUTELY!
Well we got 2 runs out of 4 ! Emory searched and found 16 hides and missed 2 total…..there were 4 runs with 4 hides in each search. Emory has taken me the furthest I have ever been in nose work. In the years I have never had a little fireball as she is. One of a kind , she put her whole heart into this trial. She came home jumped out of the van walked 5 feet and laid down and said “ I am tired Mom”.
Emory and Little Step Ranch Louise Darroch lost her Mom yesterday….
Slipperette , you will be sadly missed……go run with the wind in your coat and be free and happy!
LSR EmmyLou Emory received her Ranger level 3 nose work Title this evening! Her last two runs were .25 seconds! Ranger is where dogs has to work away from handler 10 to 12 feet with handler crossing the line……she has Level 4 on Monday that will be a challenge for her! Wish Us luck! Stay tuned!
