2 years ago this month, I launched the 410Method. In my own fitness journey, I was fed up with “nothing working” - I had tried all the fad workout programs and diets and I still was unhappy with how I looked and how I felt. So, I set out on a mission to figure it out. I researched, explored and implemented….the tools I gathered were my life line and helped to move me from stuck and frustrated to feeling better than I ever had before.

410Method is a compilation of what I used to get myself out of a rut of feeling unwell.

When I took some time to reflect this week, I dug into some old journals…and I found an entry from when I first started designing the method. It is still true today;

“I want people to develop a positive relationship with food and with their body. I want them to celebrate and love the body they are in without restricting and overexercising. I want them to look at all aspects of their health - to explore habits, sleep, stress, lifestyle, mental state and relationship with themselves. I want them to learn to be kind to themselves, and learn how to approach this content with loving-kindness. I want to help them create a well-balanced routine that leads them towards wholehearted living.”

The 410Method started as a 6 week transformation challenge - and while the 410Method pillars have remained the same, the delivery of the content has evolved A LOT over the past two years. When I look back on its development, it’s a rollercoaster ride…finding my way in the online format has had its fair share of ups and downs. Truthfully, I almost abandoned it several times. What got me through was the one thing that has always stayed constant…my passion for this program and what I believe it can do for its members.

I found fad diets and “new science” so addicting because I wanted the SECRET INGREDIENT to reaching my goals. As it turns out, straight up science and hard work was truly the answer. But there’s so much noise out there! It can be impossible to know exactly what information will lead to success and what information will lead to frustration.

Positive goal setting is about focusing on what you have to GAIN. The 410Method will help you find what your positive goal is - while focusing on what you desire, you will get further than you ever thought possible! Instead of focusing on wanting to lose or stop something - we can pivot our goals to focus on what will bring us joy. So then, we train so we can hike a mountain, lift our grandchildren, open a jar and carry our grocery bags. We train not to lose but to gain abilities and strength so we can feel our best in our everyday life!
