The Ontario government has announced sweeping changes to its housing plan to reach its goal of bringing 1.5 million more new homes to the province in the next decade. The plan, obtained by The Globe and Mail, includes cutting fees for affordable housing projects and allowing up to three units on a single residential lot. Ontario hit 100,000 new housing starts last year, a number not seen in decades, but that will need to grow at a faster rate for the province to achieve its goal.

A simple 20' studio addition for a home office. The large custom window would be expensive but this could be built, insulated and wired for around $10,000 (cost). Beware "builders" offering something like this at $20K plus...
You could stick frame a structure for less so why use a container? This modular structure can easily be moved and placed elsewhere, unlike a conventional build. It can also be built offsite and delivered and placed in a day.

Don't be fooled by "builders" offering a 40' container like this for $70,000 or more. This can be built with nice finishes for around $35K. With a 40% markup it still costs under $50K.
Do your research and talk with honest builders.
