Don’t you love that feeling when you pull that last loop.
Just finished ‘The Dunes of New London’
In June we released our collaboration with Tony Diodati (a well-known PEI artist). This is one of his paintings that we have created a rug hooking pattern for.
I love the long narrow profile, so fitting for this iconic North Shore PEI view.
To all who joined today's hook-in:
Thank you! It was wonderful to see familiar faces and meet new ones. The talent and creativity on display in Vernon River, PEI today was inspiring.

Don’t miss this wonderful exhibit
✨Eptek is thrilled to announce the opening of our summer 2024 exhibit, 'As the Crow Flies" - in collaboration with the Lady Slipper Rug Hooking Guild and Island-wide artists - officially on display now until September 27th!✨
'As the Crow Flies' is a collection of artwork featuring and inspired by crows and a 'crow's eye view.' The exhibit features over 50 Island artists in a wide range of mediums, including oil and watercolour, wooden sculpture, weaving and quilting, traditional quill work, and - of course - rug hooking!
Eptek Art & Culture Centre is open Tuesdays - Fridays 10am - 4pm and Sundays 12pm - 4pm. Admission is by donation. Hope to see you soon!
The van is packed for another ‘Fibre Road Trip’.
Heading to Yarmouth NS and the Rugg Bees Spring Fling Hookin.
‘Don’t you love Daisy, she always thinks she is going to’ 🐾
Happy Monday everyone! It's Poppy Time on PEI - anyone hooking poppies today? Two bloomed today but I have about another 80 ready to open. My favourite flower. We will most definitely be taking poppy wool to Yarmouth, NS this weekend. Can't be a Spring Fling unless there is poppy wool.
“Last Quillie Standing”
And that’s a wrap on our first annual Rug Hooking Retreat at Holland College in Charlottetown PEI.
See you in 2025.
Last Day
Another fabulous day of creativity, inspiration and fun
Start of Day 2, looking forward to another of creativity, energy and wool
Periwinkle Laine is ready to host its first retreat at Holland College in downtown Charlottetown. Fingers crossed for great weather as we would like to be able to hook on the beautiful deck overlooking downtown Charlottetown and the beautiful Hillsboro River (we thought our sign was huge when we got it but looks kind of tiny here).
Well - we visited the great folks in Summerside yesterday and on the way home we took "Chicklet " to meet some relatives. Do you think there are any resembalances?
