We are so excited to be serving dinner Friday & Saturday at Churchill Square for a FREE Disney concert series featuring the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra!

There will be music from some of your favourite Disney films, including Cars, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, and more.

📢 UPDATE: WE ARE SELLING OUR FOOD TRUCK 🥲🌱

We have a bittersweet announcement to share that may come as a shock to some of you... and it's that we have decided to sell our food truck.

We started our business in 2020, and it has been a successful 4 years for us- starting with our truck being in the NHL bubble during COVID feeding the players (the coolest experience).

But... we've decided selling is probably in our best interests because we currently spend 6 months of the year outside of Canada- and we are looking at possibly permanently being gone.

We also have another business that is expanding, and with the demands of this, we simply cannot run two businesses.

We have absolutely loved the last three years of running our truck, and look forward to the remainder of this season. Our desire and hope is that we can find someone who can take over the business for us... and maybe that's you!

Here are the details:

We are looking at selling our food truck- either as JUST the truck, or as the truck AND business.

There is no liens on the truck, and it is in GREAT mechanical condition. My husband is a welder/millwright, and passionate about having things in tip-top shape. We are very meticulous.

The engine is is a Mercedes V8. It's loud, but it runs well and isn't bad for it's diesel consumption.

We installed a brand new Onan generator two years ago (worth $10,000), which slides in and out of the drivers side wall of this truck. It's had regular oil changes which we have the tracking and/or documentation to show.

The generator is propane, and very very quiet.

Our unit is fully self-enclosed. Propane is an easy fill from the pump on the passenger side, and is strapped to the undercarriage of our truck.

We are up to date on all of our permits, our unit is exceptionally clean, and we pride ourselves on being one of the cleanest trucks in Edmonton. We always pass with flying colours and regularly hear from the inspectors how nice it is to be inside our truck because of how clean it is.

Note that our truck does *NOT* have deep fryers or grease of any kind.

Our unit has:

-lots of counter space and storage
-a 6ft prep cooler
-a 4 pan steam table
-a six burner stove with oven below
-a griddle
-a full size fridge
-a two drawer cooler
-double sink with separate handwashing sink
-internal start/stop button for generator
-external manual lit hot water tank
-full fire suppression system (up to code)
-3 roof vents and two full exhaust fans
-double serving windows on passenger side
-will be sold with ALL containers, cash register, serving utensils, storage containers, supplies, equipment, etc.

If interested in purchasing *JUST* the truck (where you will put your own wrap on it and start your own business), we are asking $97,000. Possession date would be September 30th (subject to change).

If you are interested in purchasing the truck AND business, we are asking $125,000.

Note that if you are interested in the business, you will be purchasing a license of the business. This means that you would be granted full rights to use our name, menu, etc.- but you would be upheld to certain standards of the product, and the proprietary rights to the menu and name would remain with us.

We love what we do and we love the 'niche' we have created, so if we decide in the future that we'd like to get back into the industry, we want to have access to our business idea still.

Guilt Free Eats is Edmonton's ONLY 100% plant-based, 100% gluten-free and all healthy food truck. We have been proud to be the 'safe' eating option for everyone with a dietary need or preference- and we have created a stellar reputation for ourselves throughout the last three years.

Included in the licensing option would be days or weeks of training for how to run the business and truck, making the food items, allergy awareness, etc.

It would also include all of our current contacts for the business, so that you could step into an already flourishing business and pick up where we left off.

The business licensing option is for anyone who has dreamed of running a food truck or believes in a healthy menu being made available, and wants to already step into a successful clientele base to start making money.

The business licensing option is NOT for someone who desires to create their own menu or alter the existing menu.

My husband would also be available as an additional aid/manager if desired, for your first season of business.

It was a pleasure to serve all the participants and spectators- and boy, was it inspiring to watch!⠀

Everyone who completed a race that day should be so proud! Whether you did 10 km or 100 km, it doesn’t matter. EVERY step counts!⠀

While our summer DOES have some public bookings where you can be sure to catch us- we recognize it might not be as often as you are used too.⠀

What is Celiac Disease you might ask?⠀
⠀
Celiac disease is a serious autoimmune disease that occurs in some people where the ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine.⠀
⠀
When people with celiac disease eat gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye and barley), their body develops an immune response that attacks the small intestine.⠀
⠀
These attacks lead to damage on the villi, small fingerlike projections that line the small intestine, that promote nutrient absorption. When the villi get damaged, nutrients cannot be absorbed properly into the body.⠀
⠀
A wide range of symptoms have been linked to gluten intolerance including gastrointestinal problems, migraines, skin conditions, depression and more. Left untreated, it can cause many serious health effects.⠀
⠀
For a long time, going gluten-free was a trend rumoured to be good for losing weight. In actuality though, a lot of ‘gluten-free’ products tend to be packed with unhealthy fats, simple carbohydrates and refined sugars. ☹️⠀

It’s important to understand that those with a requirement to eat gluten-free must do so for their health to prevent damage to their body.⠀
⠀
Therefore, we are proud to be able to offer a safe eating space for those with celiac disease- as our kitchen is 100% gluten-free with no chance of cross-contamination.⠀

The trail's chosen name, graciously gifted in a ceremony by Elder Jerry Saddleback, is in nêhiyawêwin (Cree language) and represents a significant milestone in our 2-year journey of engaging Indigenous communities and fostering connection with the river valley's rich and storied Indigenous history.⠀

We have SIX bulk lasagnas left at this time. They each have 8 pieces in them. These lasagnas are entirely gluten-free and vegan. They are also made with healthful ingredients, packed with veggies and mostly organic.⠀

Why do we choose organic?⠀
⠀
Since the beginning we have clearly stated that we do our absolute best to choose as much organic produce as possible- and there’s a reason for it!⠀
⠀
Over the years, our food supply has been changing and it most certainly isn’t what it used to be.⠀
⠀
Our crops are being planted in the same place year after year- and on top of that, to speed up production, improve ‘shelf life’ and ward off pests, they are being doused with all kinds of toxic chemicals ☠️.⠀
⠀
We would all love to think that these chemicals don’t have any impact on us- but the truth is, our bodies can only handle so much and we are over burdening our systems with how much toxins we take in every day.⠀
⠀
Now of course- it is next to impossible to eat 100% organic at every meal. Especially in Canada, accessibility and affordability are often a concern.⠀
⠀
Which means- us being able to use 100% organic ingredients in our truck is unfortunately, also not something we can provide.⠀
⠀
What we can (and do) commit to though, is using as much organic as we possibly can.⠀
⠀
This includes our:⠀
⠀
-Almond milk⠀
-Frozen fruit (in smoothies)⠀
-Fresh fruit (in muffins & salad)⠀
-Fresh produce (like spinach, kale, tomatoes, etc)⠀
-Flours, quinoa, brown rice⠀
-Nuts, seeds, pasta noodles⠀
& more!⠀

And while this list doesn’t include *all* the organic items we use (nor is it guaranteed depending on supply), we really do try our best to purchase as much as we possibly can.⠀

The good news?⠀
Not only does this drastically reduce toxins you’d be consuming- but it also drives up the nutrient count because organic farms are required to rotate their crops which helps to replenish the soil 😍🫶🏻⠀
