Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!
I have to admit, even after 12 years of our bags being on the market, I still feel a sense of excitement when I come across a review like this. It's particularly thrilling when the review mentions something that we didn't even guarantee with our bags. While we claim that our bags can keep your vegetables fresh in the fridge for up to 10 days, hearing that they were able to preserve spinach and arugula for 9 days during a river expedition is beyond impressive, even by our standards.

πΏ Eco Tip: Trade Paper Towels for Reusable Rags! π
Hello, eco-warriors! π± Swap out wasteful paper towels for reusable rags and make a real impact. Here's why it's smart:
Less Waste: Paper towels pile up in landfills. Rags cut the clutter and save resources.
Preserve Resources: Rags save trees, water, and energy used in paper production.
Save Money: Rags are washable and long-lasting, saving you cash over time.
Multi-Purpose: Rags clean, dust, and can be repurposed from old fabric.
Kind to Earth: Rags avoid the chemicals used in paper production.
Simple Transition: Store and wash rags like cloth napkins.
Lead by Example: Your switch inspires others to go green.
Make a difference - choose rags over paper towels! ππΏπ

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! π Today, let's not only celebrate Irish culture and heritage but also the importance of living an eco-friendly lifestyle. β»οΈ
As we all know, the earth is facing significant challenges due to climate change, and it's up to all of us to make a positive impact. This St. Patrick's Day, let's focus on reducing our carbon footprint and taking steps to preserve our planet for future generations.
Here are a few eco-friendly St. Patrick's Day ideas:
π± Choose to wear green clothing made from sustainable materials.
π± Opt for locally sourced and organic food and drink options.
π± Use reusable plates, cups, and cutlery when celebrating with friends and family.
π± Take the opportunity to educate others about the importance of protecting the environment.
Let's all do our part to create a healthier and more sustainable world. Happy St. Patrick's Day and here's to a greener future! ππ
This is a no-brainer. Using reusable containers and bags not only helps the plant, but it will save a lot of money in your household budget. And I mean it. I think using reusable it's more economical than eco-friendly. What is the point of paying for something to then throw it away? And guess what keeping vegetables in plastic bags actually is the worst. If you want a vegetable to rot, welt, or get slimy, keep them in a plastic bag, they suffocate and die on you.
Now more than ever, with all the high prices of products we need to act smart and keep those luscious greens as fresh as possible. Our Fresh Bags, Celery, mushrooms, and Salad keep all vegetables fresh and crisp for up to ten days. Try it, if you are not happy with the status of your vegetables, return them within 15 days, no questions asked.
Last year for Valentine's Day, Americans spent an estimated $2.3 billion on flowers, mostly roses, mostly imported.
The US imports about 80 percent of its flowers, mostly from Colombia and Ecuador. After traveling thousands of miles in refrigerated holds on ships or planes, the flowers head to refrigerated warehouses via refrigerated trucks (unless they catch a connecting flight to Russia and Japan, which some do). With their short shelf-life, they then quickly reach their final destinationβa big-box store, a Walmart, a grocery store and so on.
Some of these flowers do meet standards for environmental certifications but there is no way to certify away these transport miles.
Alternatives exist! Slow flowers are grown locally by small producers. You can search for slow flowers through SLOW Flowers Society. Or buy local flowers at the farmers' market if yours operates in the winter. Or if your loved one gardens, buy them a native flowering plant π Or don't buy anything at all and go out for dinner instead!

It's world cancer day today. If you've been following me, or have been in any of my webinars you know that I lost my mom in early 2022 to cancer. I totally believe that nobody should fight this alone. It was a painful journey for her and all of us close to her.
I can't be grateful enough that I was able to care for her and be there for her during the most difficult time of her life and at the same time I can't be grateful enough for those of my friends and family and the medical team who were there for me to give me strength when I needed it most. She didn't fight alone, we weren't alone. Although she was not among the survivors, she was hopeful and courageous until the end, and she wasn't alone.
If you know someone dealing with this disease, don't shy away from picking up the phone and checking on them. Be as natural as you can possibly be, don't ask too many questions about their situation, but be there if they want to talk about it.
It's hard to know how different people deal with life-threatening diseases, some want to get it out of their chest, and some like to keep it to themselves and act natural when with friends. Respect that, but be there for them, you never know when they need you to pick them up when they fall and have their back when they can't keep it together anymore.

A little extra love and kindness goes a long way π Here's to a month of self-care, growth, and making memories π
Reducing food waste is an art, it's actually the art of homemaking. I remember my mom had these amazing ideas on how to turn tonight's leftover food into something totally new and delicious the next day. Think about it anyone can make something to eat with some fresh ingredients and a recipe but then it takes a bit of creativity to turn those leftovers into something new and delicious. And I guess that's the reason these days we see so much household food waste.
Did you know tonight's leftover mashed potato and be delicious taters tomorrow?
Yesterday I saw the darndest thing, people bragging about wrapping their celery in aluminum foil and keeping it fresh for six weeks. I can think of a few health, environment, and home economics issues. But let's stick with two things here.
1 - You should not eat that celery after six weeks. If you wrap your celery in foil, I bet you didn't buy it from the farmer's market. Most likely, it took at least a week for the celery to get to the store. There is no nutritional value to that celery by week six in your fridge.
2 - Seriously, aluminum foil? Who knows what it leaches to the food, let alone the amount of garbage it creates? If you don't want to invest in an excellent reusable bag like our Fresh celery bags (hint hint), then at least put the damn thing in a glass jar and water it like you would do a flower.
AND EAT YOUR VEGETABLES! WHY KEEP IT FOR 6 WEEKS?

The price of produce is through the roof. I keep getting asked what I do to save in my kitchen. Here are three things you can do to reduce your grocery cost.
1- Meal plan
It's unbelievable how much you can stretch your dollar when you have a meal plan.
2- Have a shopping list and stick to it
3- Store your produce the right way. I use the GogoBags Fresh Salad bag for most vegetables.

Happy Lunar New Year!
According to Chinese astrology, 2023 is the year of the water rabbit. What does that mean? Rabbit is associated with luck and is considered a gentle and thoughtful animal. The water element is associated with intuition and inner peace.
I also feel there is a connection between water energy and money. They both are at their optimum power when in flow.
So let's consciously work with these astrological elements and build a better life for ourselves.
Wishing you a year of gentleness, prosperity and luck.
Happy New Year my friend!
Wishing you a fulfilling and prosperous year ahead.
My word for 2023 is "Balance" what is yours?
Happy winter solstice (Yalda)!
As a Persian and Zoroastrian, this night is as big as our new year. The celebration is about getting together with family and friends, good food, wine, candle, a lot of antioxidant fruits, music, dance, laughter...
This year is a bit different, though. With everything that is happening in Iran, no one is up for a fun celebration. But we still get together in memory of our loved ones, and I personally can't pass on a good serving of pomegranate.
I find that during this time of the year, there are a lot of different celebrations in different cultures. What is yours? Share it in the comments.

Yesterday at 4:30 pm, we lost a true angel. My mom, my rock, my partner in business and crime :)
She was the heart and soul of gogobags. Every bag that she designed was with out most love and care for the user and the planet. Everytime she would see someone using our bags or read a testimonial she would smile and would be proud of what we created. I'm sure she is looking down on me from heaven making sure her legacy is continuing.
My heart is broken and strong at the same time. She was a strong woman and raised us to be strong for her.
For the past two years, she has fought cancer with a smile on her face and kindness in her heart. Even in her sickness and death, she taught us strength and resilience.
I love you, mom. You are my true hero, my angel, my love until we meet again.
