I delivered a 2 minute statement in recognition of their advocacy.

Yesterday marked the beginning of National Addictions Awareness Week, but here in our province, perhaps more than anywhere else – we are acutely aware of addiction and the impact that addiction has had on our opioid overdose crisis.
Thank you to Royal the Canadian Marine search and Rescue for hosting a banger of a fundraiser last night in White Rock Great music for a great cause. Thank you for all you do to keep us safe on the water.
Today I sent a letter to Selina Robinson Minister of Post Secondary Education, requesting the public release of the Study Protocol, relevant legal exemptions, and approved Ethics Certificate related to DULF.

This video of DULF co-founders Eris Nyx and Jeremy Kalicum at the Australian Stigma Conference in November 2022, demonstrates a cause for concern regarding the use of public funds. David Eby it's time for an independent audit.
Last night I was please to attend the 8th Annual Clovies - the East Surrey Business Excellence Awards. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners! It was fantastic to learn more about the philanthropy and mentorship in the Cloverdale and Clayton Heights Business Communities.
Lest we forget the sacrifices of those who have served our nation in wartime and in peacekeeping operations. Here at home our Canadian Armed Forces help us in times of disaster and stand ready to defend our country against any threat. Thank you to all who have served, those who serve today, and to those who will take up the call to serve in the future. 🌹
Congratulations Uniti! And SAS - so proud of the work you do in our community! ❤️
Pleased to attend the 25th Annual Surrey Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards last night. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners. Thank you for helping drive our local and provincial economy and for showcasing Surrey’s business opportunities.
Today in Question Period, BC United Caucus member & Critic for the Attorney General Mike De Jong asked Niki Sharma if, given recent comments & the direct involvement of members of the government, will she appoint a special prosecutor to make the charge assessment related to the investigation at DULF.
Today we voted in favor of Bill 34 - to bring in some basic protection for kids, families and any one who wants to use parks and playgrounds without open drug use.
Today in Question Period I asked, how can we expect the Premier to end his catch-and-release policy when his Attorney General, who oversees the Prosecution Service, has herself turned a blind eye to taxpayer-funded drug trafficking?
This morning I sent a letter to the federal Minister of Mental Health and Addictions asking for a review of federal funding that may have been used to support illegal activities at DULF

Last night I attended the Government House Foundation Gala Ball benefiting the Lieutenant Governor’s grants, bursaries, and awards for excellence across the province. Thank you to the many volunteers and board trustees who do this important philanthropic work.
I’m very proud of Kevin Falcon’s plan to make life more affordable in BC! ⬇️
At a presentation hosted by the National Safer Supply Community of Practice, the Director of Research for the BC Centre on Substance Use candidly confessed his role in the taxpayer-funded drug trafficking by the DULF. This key government advisor, steering government drug policies, is part of this taxpayer-funded drug trafficking network.
Today I asked the Premier if he will undertake a full forensic audit, cancel public funding for organizations involved in criminal activity, and fire this compromised Director of Research?
Unprecedented times call for unprecedented leadership. We are in an affordability crisis that is crushing people across the province.
I am proud of Kevin Falcon’s plan to immediately help put money back in the pockets of British Columbians.
Today I sent a letter to the Solicitor General requesting an investigation into allegations of criminal activity, a breach of research ethics, and the lack of oversight by the NDP Ministers of Mental Health & Addiction.
Last week I spoke in the second reading of Bill 34 - Restricting Public Consumption of Illegal Substances Act. Bill 34 is likely to go to committee this week.
This is the first Bill related to decriminalization that has been debated in the BC Legislature.
The Bill, which is meant to enhance public safety highlights the NDP's failures to address public drug use, and provide adequate services for those using drugs.
In Vancouver alone, Eby's soft-on-crime approach has allowed the same 40 people to cause 6,385 negative police interactions in just one year.
Enough is enough. Our Safer BC plan puts law abiding citizens first.

Happy Halloween 🎃
This afternoon, our crews responded to a false alarm in Newton, coincidentally next to the Newton BIA's Spooktakular event. After the call, Hall 10 crews took a moment to engage with the event attendees. One of our team's most cherished aspects of the job is the strong bond we share with the community we serve.
Around the world, successful decriminalization models have medical professionals at the core & aren’t peer run club programs. We need the BCNDP gov to fund access to approved & evidence based pharmaceutical alternatives - not to fund cartels, & gangs.
Daphne Bramham: B.C. group's call for legally regulated he**in sales is unfounded The B.C. Centre on Substance Use is proposing the regulated, legal sale of he**in. It's unprecedented and unfounded.
The Premier subsidized an organization that used cryptocurrency to buy illegal drugs off the dark web, from criminal organizations.
In my community, people are killed by gangs and drug dealers every year - including innocent bystanders.
Today, I asked the Premier to order a full forensic audit of DULF, VANDU, and any other publicly funded organization involved in criminal activity.
Treatment, recovery, and providing a clear pathway from addiction has to be the priority- but the NDP approach offers no off-ramps to recovery.
Today I asked the Premier when he will end his taxpayer-funded drug crisis that is creating an endless cycle of drug dependency?
Having a groovy time at the Red Serge 2023 Disco Party benefiting the Semiahmoo Community Safety Society.

More trouble for the NDP's Surrey police transition. It's very alarming to see the OPCC wasn't even consulted on this process. David Eby and the NDP's policing mess in keeps getting worse.
Today I spoke during second reading of Bill 36 Police Amendment Act 2023. Listen here:
BC's Healthcare crisis is traumatizing frontline staff. Resource shortages are being felt acutely in Emergency Departments across the province.
Today I asked the Premier how he can tolerate an NDP "new normal" that leads to tragedies and harms frontline healthcare staff?
