🌟 Stay Hydrated! Day 7πŸ€°πŸ’¦

How did the water challenge go for you? Have you been able to increase your water intake successfully? What differences have you noticed?

Sometimes we need reminders to help us keep up with drinking water, and our phones are great for that. Set timers to go off throughout the day as a quick check-in to see how you’re doing with your water intake. There are also apps you can download that help keep track of your water consumption, and some of these will also send you reminders to your phone or smartwatch.

Let me if you have any questions, I am just a DM away! πŸ˜€

🌟 Stay Hydrated! Day 6πŸ€°πŸ’¦

During the hours we spend asleep, which typically amount to around eight hours per night, our bodies go without any water intake.

It is essential to kickstart each morning by replenishing the water lost during this period.

Starting the day with a generous glass of water helps to rehydrate our system and compensate for the lack of fluids during the night.

🌟 Stay Hydrated! Day 5πŸ€°πŸ’¦

During pregnancy, the requirement for fluids increases significantly.

As your baby develops, they are immersed in the amniotic fluid within your uterus.

Furthermore, your blood volume undergoes a substantial increase starting from the first trimester.

Adequate water intake becomes even more crucial during this period, as it helps maintain proper circulation. This, in turn, ensures the delivery of essential nutrients to your growing baby and aids in the elimination of waste products.

Water is not just a substance we consume, but a vital nutrient that plays a crucial role in our bodies. In fact, as adults, approximately 65% of our body composition consists of water. It is indispensable for nearly all our physiological functions. While water can be obtained from various sources, including food, incorporating fresh, raw fruits and vegetables into your diet can provide a significant amount. Alternatively, consuming pure filtered water, free from added sugars or artificial sweeteners, is highly recommended.

After giving birth, your body needs time and nutrients to heal. Eating a well-balanced, nutrient-dense diet can help support this process and ensure that you have the energy and stamina you need to care for your new baby.

✨ The postpartum recovery period is a crucial time for new mothers to focus on their nutrition. After giving birth, the body undergoes many changes and requires an abundance of nutrients to repair tissues, produce breast milk, and support overall health and wellbeing. Nutrient-dense foods such as whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables can help support healing and provide the energy needed to care for a new baby.

✨ In addition to physical recovery, good nutrition can also play a crucial role in supporting emotional and mental wellbeing postpartum. Consuming a well-balanced diet that is rich in vitamins and minerals can help reduce inflammation and promote brain health, which can help prevent postpartum depression and anxiety.

✨ It's important for new mothers to prioritize self-care during this time and make nutrition a priority. This might mean meal prepping and planning ahead to ensure that healthy, balanced meals and snacks are readily available, or enlisting the help of a partner or family member to prepare meals or help with grocery shopping.

Remember that postpartum recovery is a journey, and it's okay to take it one step at a time. By making small, sustainable changes to your diet and lifestyle, you can support your health and wellbeing and set yourself up for a successful postpartum recovery.
