At Rekindle Me we have a little bit of a different take on health. By cleaning up the gunk of the past, we can move forward in better health.
We work on balancing the body, mind, spirit by releasing subconscious beliefs that may be impacting your life.
Who do I help?
The people who set foot in my office are primarily kids, teens and women who are looking for solutions to health and wellness issues they’re experiencing.
Physical issues like pain, headaches, earaches or skin conditions. Emotional or psychological issues like anxiety, depression, grief or anger. Developmental issues like tantrums, delayed learning or difficulty with social situations.
All of these problems are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to moving towards a path to better health and wellbeing, and I’m here to help you walk it.

“My life is so good…. I am happy. ”
This might sound more along the lines of feeling like things are “good enough” where they are or that you’re feeling content with life.
While this may seem like a really good place to be, it can also lead to us feeling stuck. When we’re feeling content we tend not to strive for improvement which may keep you stagnant, never dreaming or wishing for something more.
If this is part of your regular self-talk, it’s time to rewrite your script, just a little!
Here’s a phrase to consider “I am so grateful and happy in my life…. But I know there is more and I’m excited for the adventure.”

Sometimes incidents from our childhood can have a huge hold on our behavior as adults.
Usually these incidents are things we replay in our minds, over and over. Sometimes they can be triggered by an event that happens, our partners, our job or our kids. Sometimes we can’t identify what triggered them, they’re just there.
Writing about an incident that comes to mind frequently can be a really powerful way to acknowledge these triggers, and may help you move past the incident or make it clear that you need a little extra help processing.

Our words hold so much power over our thoughts and behaviors. If we’re always talking about not being good enough, we’re not likely to put effort into things, we show up in lack and never truly achieve the things we want to because we’re convinced we can’t.

It may seem obvious, but if you’re flying a plane with a slight tilt upwards, you’re going to climb. And vice versa. The farther you go on that path, the higher or lower you travel!
Every small action in a positive direction slowly builds until you’ve made a massive change in direction. Just like every small negative action adds up.
So, are you climbing or falling?

Take some time to journal about where you currently are in your life and where you want to be.
When we take time to reflect on things like this we could see two things: either we are living life in a way that we really don’t want to be or we’re not so far from where we want to be!
Either way, this is a powerful way to get clear and start making some changes so you can live your life in alignment with how you want to feel.

If you had three words to say to your future self, what would they be?
Take some time to think about this. Pull out a pen and paper and write down the first words that come to mind without editing. You may come up with more than 3 words and have to narrow it down to the best ones.
Another powerful exercise might be turning your final 3 into a poster or a piece of art!

If your biggest challenges were resolved, what would your three wishes for your life be?
Trick: these wishes can only be for you - nobody else (kids, siblings, parents, etc).This element can make this task especially challenging. That’s normal and okay if it is - just shift your mind to what YOU want!
Take some time to think about this. Pull out a pen and paper and journal it out without editing. Sometimes when we see our thoughts on paper it clears out the mental blocks around how we could make these wishes into reality.
Once you’re done, pick you top three and pop them somewhere you can read them every day.. We don’t need to have the plan of how to get there. Just keep them in your dreams and you will start moving towards them!

The gift of choice and the courage to take it.
A woman I have been helping looked at me and said, ‘why didn’t I see this before?’ This commonly happens at Rekindle Me. She could see a new choice. She could see it so clearly. Her perspective had changed and now she was seeing her situation from a totally new vantage point. It seems so simple when the blinders are off. When we are blinded by routine, by past choices, by beliefs, we cannot see.
Whether we wake up to an alarm, a dog barking, or little cold feet sneaking into your warm sleep cocoon, we all start our day with routine. The middle of the day can provide some surprises, but we make our choices based on our routine based behaviors and what we have always chosen. Evening comes, and the routine ensues; a quick show, maybe read for a moment if not too exhausted, then sleep. And it begins again with the mornings light.
For some of us this is fine. This is comfortable. But for some of us we want and need more, we need new perspective, new input. We need fresh ideas. We need new input so that we can alter our choices and head in a slightly different direction.
And this isn’t just a ‘picking up a new book’ kind of input. Contrary to popular belief we need another person to help kick our butt into gear so we can take our flashlight and shine a light on new choices.
Doing the same thing over and over again does not get the job done. Doing this on our own is really challenging and we can fall off the wagon really quick. We all need a person to guide us – with new input.
I am so grateful to be in this position to help take those blinders off so that if and when we are ready to see, we can take that choice and make a change. Little choices or big choices, we need to see that their is always choice.
Healing comes with courage, choice, and change. It’s not always easy, but there is nothing like the feeling of seeing someone who is sick, tired, and stuck start to fly! www.rekindleme.ca
Health is a beautiful state of being. It is a magical flowing state where we don’t know what’s going to happen next because we are on an adventure to live life our way! We are inspired and excited about life – there is no room for boredom and fatigue in a person living in health. We have this wild vigor to relish every moment and we repeatedly find ourselves losing track of time. Each day carries a sense of mystery as we are making new choices to get us where we want to be.
Healthy people are on an adventure. They are pursuing their dreams, fueling their passions and have mounds of energy dance through life.
My wish is for everyone to know this love of life and adventure. Living in health takes a ton of effort and commitment, but the results are worth it times a million!

Are you seeing the whole picture of your health?
Health is not just the problem you are experiencing, your health is your entire state of wellness. The whole picture. Take this example of the orange pepper seeds.... they look like crazy, squashy orange discs. This is the zoomed in picture and their identity is tricky to identify. Once we see the whole picture they are clearly pepper seeds!
For healing, it is also necessary to see the whole picture so we can make sense of what we are experiencing. The problem is, the tendency is to treat just the symptoms instead of focusing on the solution - which is to restore true / whole health to the entire body, mind and spirit. A zoomed in approach to treating the symptom does not get the job done.
When a holistic wellness approach is applied, we treat the symptoms as 'red flags' that your body is asking for help. And chances are, the symptom you are experiencing is not the first red flag experienced to date, it may just be the first you are really paying attention to. There is more going on than meets the eye, and when we take a whole body approach, we address the big picture so that a greater healing is possible.
Red flags can be tricky to spot and often present as seemingly minor things like skin conditions, headaches, sensory issues, behavior changes, brain fog, and fatigue. To the parents of young kids, tweens and teens,
I see you.
It is very easy to put ourselves on the backburner as we are raising these precious little humans. We want to love into them completely. We will drop everything to help them have a good day.
We worry about them… all the things. We may be especially worried for their mental health right now as we are seeing changes in their attitudes and behaviors and are not sure how or if we can help.
Even though we are dreading the remote learning coming up, we may be secretly excited to keep them home, protected, and help them with their learning. Even though we may have careers/life plans we are pursuing, their ‘thing’ is somehow more interesting and easier to figure out than our own ‘thing’.
What do we do when we have the house to ourselves? All is calm, all is quiet... weirdly quiet. We absolutely take that alone time for some serious self-care right? Haha. Chances are the intentions are there but instead we turn our brains to mush by scrolling our phones for 10 minutes which soon turns into an hour.
But… if we do not put our oxygen mask on first and take care of ourselves FIRST, nobody wins. Our kids resent us for being in their face and living through them, and we don’t do our own ‘thing’, or potentially never figure out our own ‘thing’, so that we can truly be happy and healthy.

Believe it or not... WE CAN AND IT IS NECESSARY FOR US TO WANT MORE. Whether it is more fun, more happiness, more health, more play or anything else your heart desires... you can want more.
Whatever it is that you spiritually crave more of in your life... you are not crazy (or selfish) to want more.
We sometimes find ourselves in a place where we think 'oh well my life is pretty good, I should be so grateful'. While yes we can be grateful for where we are and all that we have, we also always need to look forward and find that desire to want more.
This 'more' is not about material things. This is about the 'more' that our spirit needs to be full, healthy and happy.
